If you would of read and understood what i wrote you wouldnt of repsonded with the same incorrect information that Sean did.  Apr uses a standerd T25 housing and makes it interchangeable with any other gt turbo with a t25 housing.

what?

here's what you said

quote:

For that price you should go apr for just a little more.  At least then the normal housing allows you to upgrade down the road to a RS to 3076r

then sean stated

quote:

and second, the APR stage 3 kit uses a t25 flanged manifold for their gt28r turbo. not 28rs.. so unless you make an adapter plate, or get a hybrid t25 flanged 30 series, you're going to change out the manifold anyways

all he was saying is that if you got the apr kit, and then wanted to go with a 3076r (which is normally t3 flange) you would have to get an adapter plate, or get the t25 flanged 3076r, if you wanted to keep the same manifold.

i think you read it as, him still referring to the PES kit, which, as you said, wouldn't be able to upgrade to later turbo's cause of the 90* turn

Nope, totally read that right.  What Sean said make 0 sense for the 3rd time.  Why would you buy/need an adapter when you can buy an off the shelf T25 gt30 series turbo?  For the 3rd time again, there is a A4 and a GTI both going from a stg3+ to a gt30 turbo (A4=3071r gti = 3076r).

Why not spend 2 mins at atp and see that you what you can get?

Can i be done repeating myself now?  Instead read what i said and look for yourself.

he gave 2 different options, never said you had to do one or the other. he never disagreed that you couldn't go from stg 3 to a 30 series either.

but i too am sick of this thread, i was just trying to be peacemaker. im over it, have at it you two

You were fine but neither of you understand what your saying.  Sean is making stuff up and your trying to make sense of things that make none.

Its ok, Sean will just pawn it off on me some how.

wtf? what dont i understand? i still dont get what your trying to prove? that a 30 series will fit on an apr mani? no one argued against that...

and another thing. all you do is bitch and whine about the elims and their restrictive turbine housings. but yet you're telling people to go with a T25 flanged GT30r? that makes no sense at all

Please read again Sean.  I said if they go with a apr or any other kit that uses a t25 manifold and dp they are not locked in on one turbo like the PES kit.  I even then said there are 2 people with APR kits running a gt30 turbo.  Then i even stated after that a T3 is better for a gt30 series turbo than a T25.  Not because of the flange (which helps) but becuase the housing flows better and the .63 is bigger than the t25 .64 and smaller than the t25 .86.

ok, since you wont respond to my inquires. i'll try somehting different..

but when did i ever say that you HAD to get the specific PES T28 turbo and manifold?  all i said was to peice together your own kit. many people [B5 A4] do it using a standard T28 turbo and T25 flanged manifold. then you just need 440cc injectors and THE PES CHIP. that is what makes the "kit". not PES' retard manifold and turbo.. you can buy all the hardware through other sources/used and save a butt load. then just pick up the PES software from the source or someone in the classifieds
