Post the cars you have owned in chronological order:

1:
1995 Chevrolet Lumina 3.1L 160HP - My moms old car and my 1st car, got it for $1500. Sometimes i miss that car cause it was a POS and i didnt care about ti much so i was doing alot of crazy ish.

2:
Audi A4 1.8T Q 5-Spd (current) - Bought this one cause i needed a car for school and the lumina got crashed. In love with this car except when stuff stops working

In between those 2 cars i was driving parents 2002 Nissan Maxima SE 3.5L Auto, props to this car for loads of power and good sportiness for what it is; and 2002 Jag X-Type 3.0 Auto (AWD) - Nice all around car, sport package suspension and tires are superb, but the car seemed to small for me, adequately powered.

Total HP i've owned: 310

edit: and post how old you are now, i'm 19yoFirestarter198437971.0160416667

I wasn;lt far off you Firestarter - we had the same 3.1 chevy engine!

1. 1992 Cavalier Wagon 3.1L 160hp: Bought in 1996 - at one point I had everything I owned in that thing and drove about 2000 miles loaded down. The car was ok for the first 2 years I had it, but once it hit the apex, it was all downhill pretty quickly - until one day it would not start and I just abandoned it (I had bought the A4 3 days earlier)

2. 1998.5 Audi A4 quattro tip: Was looking for a new car and considered the Passat. The drove by house of a privat eseller with this parked out front, sign in the window. Drove it and bought it the next day. Chipped the car only about a year ago.

Total horsepower I've owned (incl chipped hp): 358

1: 1980 mercury zepher straight six about 120 hp a real piece of s**t smelled like an old lady for the longest time real fun car though scary as hell to drive built on the fairlane frame witch is what the mustang used up until very recently got sick of having to put tranny fluid in every morning before work

2: 1991 mercury topaz 4 banger 150 hp fun car to drive MODs...lighted fuzzy dize, night rider light on front, gold painted hub caps. insane stereo setup with two 12s. front end fell apart on the highway so i traded it in

3: 1991 olds cutlass 3.1 6 banger great engine but car was a boat transplanted stereo into it and had 15in Z racing rims put on and tinted windows. One night i was drivin from a friends house in the ghetto in lowell mass and a bunch of teenagers ran across the road it was raining and I slammed on the brakes lost control hit a giant granet rock and ripped my front end of got it fixed then sold it to my sisters boyfriend who ended up stiffin me half the money

4: 1999 chevy malibu 3.1 6 banger again yeah the 3.1s a great motor about 200hp had an intake kit, custom exhaust, jet chip, eibach springs, kyb struts, 17 inch millie miglias, custom grill, all alpine stereo with 2 12s, dropped 2 inches, tinted windows, night rider lights in grill, debadged I loved this car more than my girlfriend but it handle like s**t one drunken night I drove it into a bridge then i cried

5: 1987 K5 blazer I got this while i was looking for another car to replace the last fun off road but occasionally spit pieces of leaf springs out the back I had 2x4s under the driver seat cuz there was no metal left. one time I tried to tow my friend out of a ditch with my trialer hitch and my hitch riped off cuz it was rotted so bad and went into his radiator I got rid of this jewell when it caught fire in my drivway one day

6: 1997 audi a4 love this car I got a great deal on it too cuz the front shocks were blown replace suspension with intrax springs and koni struts chiped fuel regulater aftermarket tails smoked side markers clear corners all purple lights intake kit custom exhaust just bought some 17inch millie miglia bellos

7: 1991 mercury couger 3.8 6 banger 200hp fast car bought it to drive in the winter DUH rear wheel drive in snow one day when I was driveing to work on 93 south my auto tranny decided it liked 2 gear at 70 miles an hour which lasted for about 30 seconds then the tranny blew up and my engine decided to ventelate itself with a rod and just generaly started burning with me on the side of the road yellin burn muthafuka burn hahahahahaha...... god i hated that car

Total 1220 HP (strength in numbers)

1. 1988 Ford Taurus wagon. Paid my grandparents 400 bucks for it. Wrecked it 6 months later by doing a 180 into a large collection of mail boxes.

2. 1995 Plymouth Voyager. Parents gave me this to replace the wagon. Got sick of it after 3 months and decided I needed an audi.

3. 1986 4kcs. Bought in 2001 for 2 grand from a local hippy. Car had 125k, with H&R/Boge setup, VW Gti techtonics resonator and box with Vette style tip(excellent sound, much like a ferrari), 300z hood scoop, quattro script interior and some engine mods that are stillm being kept secret. I have never seen an audi run like this one. The car was originally a dealership car, but changed hands several times. After I rolled the car on its side, hit 5 deer, rode a 75 degree bank and just generally beat the piss out of it, i decided that this car was better left to rest in pieces.

4. 1985 4ks. Bought in aud Aug. of 03. Still don't have a title for the car, but no problem cause i don't have a liscence.

I have driven many of the rents cars like, passats, millenia, slaabs and jeeps among others, but the above are the ones I consider to be mine.

First car: 1978 Saab 99GLE - Drove it for 6 months before getting rid of it. Gas tank was leaking sold for $500.
Second Car: 1978 Honda Accord LX CVCC (Worst POS I've ever driven), Cam gear stripped that drove the oil pump.
Third Car: My Dad used to let me drive his 1984 Saab 900 Turbo (Fast as hell) - was able to dust a lot of the muscle cars in the central NY area (off the line and through turns... the guy who had it before my Dad tuned it a little bit. And he also let me drive an 86 VW Jetta (before I totaled it).

Next was the 86 Subaru GL-10 Turbo (another fun car).

From 93 to 2000, it was my 1985 Audi 5000S that I coverted to a 5-speed. If it wasn't going to cost several grand to replace the electrical system, I'd still be driving it today.

Current car... 2000 Hyundai Accent 120K miles - Great car, inexpensive, just don't expect much in performance and handling... fun to tinker with though...

2) 1984 VW Jetta GLI- Burnt Orange with a pretty nice custom exhaust

3) 1977 Lincoln Continental 460 V8, bought it just for the hell of it

4) 1989 Chevy Beretta GT, 2.8 v6- A beater I bought to get me to my next car

5) 1981 Mercedes 300d- well over 300k, and a great ride. Although slow as death

6)Current car 1991 Audi 80 Quattro. Awesome car to drive in the snow, and around town, but **** goes wrong with it a lot.

Oh Jeesh! Mine is a long list.

Let's just leave it with: It begins with a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia with Porsche internals and includes a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 with a Shelby Cobra 289, two 1980 German delivery BMW's (manual 320i and auto 320i), a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo Rancho/MT Pre-Runner Desert RAT, and a 2002 Mercedes Benz 320E Super Salon.

This does not include my yellow duck - a 2000 Imola S4.

I've also had numerous company vehicles of the sort you would expect - the last one being a PT Cruiser. i was actually quite impressed at the build quality, after having Neons, Shadows, Aries, et al.

My favorite of all of them? That's hard to say. I'm obviously delighted with the Avant. Also loved the RX-4 wagon, the 300ZX turbo, the Corvair, and even the '64 Pontiac Ventura. I think the Mercury Colony Park wagon broke my heart, though. Woudda loved to drive around in that land yacht. I might even look for another one someday.

Judging by the list, you are most faithful to the Ford line, no? Although it looks like you were fond of GM for a while, too.
karguy427
9/15/2004 3:21:12 PM
Yeah, kind of switched alligiance a few years back in the 80's when GM quality remained flat, and in the early 90's Ford's started to improve dramatically. I'll still consider ANY vehicle, as long as it meets my requirements of looks, driveability, and dependability. No ugly cars like a Aztek in my garage. Most beautiful? - BMW 635CSi; 67 Buick Riviera; Can't think of others right now.

I agree with you on the 635CSi - sexy brawn.
But didn't that Rodeo come close to the ugliness of an Aztek?

The '93 Rodeo was the previous model - not the current one. I actually thought it had pretty clean lines for a SUV. ...Put a color-matching brush guard on the front end to give it some pizzazz. It was good enough for Honda to put the Passport name on it starting in '94.

I've never owned any of my cars, they were all technically my parents but heres my list,

1. 1990 Green Volvo Station Wagon 80K miles - (with the pop-up trunk seats!) My mom's old car, which sat in the driveway mostly undriven for a few years, waiting for me to get my permit. Drove it for the majority of the time i had my permit.

2. 1995 BMW 540i 75K miles- My dads old car, when i got my licence he decided to buy a new car and give me the beamer (his new car 2003 RS6). Loved this car, ran good, looked good, couldnt be happier. Drove this for about a year and a half, when the tranny among other things started having inssues. My mom got worried because the guy at the shop told her he found metal shavings in the transmission and it could potentially "give-out" at any moment on a freeway. (thank you overdramatic shop guy, you got me a new car).
