NEbody ever see To Live and Die in LA? AWSOME chase but the best part was after the chase when the guy jumps up and starts kicking out the shot-up back window and his partner asks, "What're we gonna do now?" And he responds, "First we gotta get a new back window from a junk yard so we can turn this car back in to the motorpool..." Priceless!
1. Gone in 60 (new)
2. 2 live & die in LA (a VERY close second)
3. Bullitt (I'd go into debt for 10 years to get my hands on '67 Charger)
4. The French Connection
5. Ronin (the second chase with the BMTroubleU and the Peugeot 305)
6. (tie) Bourne & Italian Job (which seemed a bit *too* choreographed, to me)
No Bond car chase deserves to even be mentioned as most involve some outlandish gadgetry available only in the monds of special effects nerds, IMO.

2 Fast 2 Furious DOOD!!!
Going to have to go with Bullitt. Amazing chase scene... made me want to buy a 1968 mustang for awhile there.
i dont remember too much from Ronin, seen it a long while ago, but i do recall it having a really crazy chase

Gone in 60 seconds with Elanor (GT-500) sounds amazing at full volume on the surround sound... I was thinkin more of the OJ chase with the whie Bronco now that was funny.

The Italian Job, easy. (The original one, not the pathetic remake). Wasn't as 'balls-out-action' as in some movies (Bad Boys 2 comes to mind), but very creative, with touches of British humour.

Its Ronin for me. At the time of that movie I had a BMW and was biased toward that chase then, but I watched it the other day, and its still pretty kick ass.

i really dont like the bourne and italian job chases for the same reason you mentioned above, jazz...they seem way too choreographed and also a little too farfetched to me

Same thing. The choreography ruined that chase, too, for me
What I can't believe is that NO ONE else seems to have seen the chase from To Live and Die In LA. Movie came out Winter of 1985. At least ONE of the other Old Heads from here HAD to have seen it... NEone? NEone? Beuller? Beuller?

The ORIGINAL 'Gone in 60 seconds' was filmed around the Torrance area of Southern California, near where I lived at the time. It was cool seeing all the chases on the streets I regularly drove on.

i dont remmber that but i haev seen the chase scene in SF from rock and Bullitt. Its cool seeing stuff like that. The coolest is i have driven the LOng Beach Garnd Prix track right before it was closed off for the race and riden on it during a race (pace car). My uncle is a manger at the Long Beach convention center.
