Wiper Switch for Intermittent Fault Code

Anyone had this issue with a US A3 8P

I have a fault code 00888 for the Wiper Switch defective for Intermittent Operation. What puzzles me is that the wiper intemittent is working fine.

I did do the Trip Computer Mod to gain distance to zero & radio output in the insturment cluster, I also added the yellow terminal wire to pin #20 to rid the washer fluid empty icon.

I'm not sure if the 00888 fault code was present before the mod or if it is even related to the fault. Below is the scan readings.

Looks like the fault came on because of you jumping pin #20.

yes I think your right, I will have to live with the fault code or reverse the modification.
