my Friends 93 Jeep, the gas and brake are like 2cm away from each other so when you hit gas you brake too and when you brake you hit gas too.. i scared myself with that i thought i was gonna hit my own car because when i was braking i was hitting the gass too. it also has 20s on it so the turn suck and the wheels rub when you turn all the way. and also i would have to say my friends 99 acura RL the gass petal you have to press down soooo hard to get it going and when you release it it take forever to come back up, and you would think the brake is the same but its the exact opposite. so it makes to slam the brakes. other then that its a nice car.

A lot of these problems sound like maintenance things... the thread is about cars that are running fine, (presumably in stock form), and suck. I had a 2003 Cavalier when my trans am got scuffed up in a parking lot... and it was pretty horrible. I hate any car with a plastic steering wheel... you factor the plastic steering wheel in with the lifeless feel (no steering wheel feedback) in a GM car... and its gross. The car saw countless neutral drops though... umm, also had a 2003 protege as a rental for a bit... was auto... was close to the slowest car I've ever driven... and my gf's 1990 civic is insanely basic, it has NO options other than auto... 70 horsepower automatic -- it's pretty funny. But, its 15 years old and running like a top, so its not the worst car by a long shot.

I drove a first generation hyundai...I thought it was the most underpowered car ever....If you were going to turn left in front of oncomming traffic, you needed about a 20 second gap to get across the intersection....
The early civics were way underpowered too, but I thought they were put together much better, and 'seemed' faster.

Yes...that is right...not talking about cars with maintenance problems, talking about cars that are just plain bad, out of the box.

I would say any Found On Roadside Dead aka Fix Or Repair Daily (aka FORD) seems to fall under total POS mobile. Particularly the Fu-ckus. My mom had a 2.3L Mustang back in the mid 80's. Thing was awful, less power than the '00 Honda CRV (CRV's run on lawn mower engines, and not the riding mower's I'm talk the little electric mowers for people who live on the 18'th floor of a 37 floor apartment.) The controls were in annoying difficult to reach locations and I know this is supposed to be about cars that work but suck, but how can I mention FORD and not say how often the thing was broken?
It was like driving a Jaguar, only we didn't have two FORDs, one in the shop and one for driving, we needed like 18, 17 in the shop and one that was loosing parts to the horrors of Toronto weather (the white stuff that fell from the sky is beyond FORDs ability to resolve, especially since Detroit is just so much more tropical than Toronto.)
Oh, or how about the Mazda GLC, my god, what a crap mobile that was? That thing made the FORD look like a muscle car and it was constantly breaking too... until my brother totaled it... way to go bro! (Mind you if you are gonna kill a bad car, try not to get killed yourself, my brother's valiant effort to destroy the Mazda nearly took his own life.)
Oh and the Chrysler Caravan, Chrysler barren cavern, with... yes another lawn mower!
Shoot now that I think about, take any vehicle made in the United States by one of the big three and you know what you have... a big yellow fat plump juicy LEMON!!!

haha, everybody who owns a focus adopts the nick name "****us"... I heard that they have the most recalls of any car ever made in NA. (which probably means the whole world, since north american cars suck to begin with).
I hold ford above chrysler though... chrysler is the worst. oooh lets bring back the 'hemi' name and put it into as many nearly identicle vehicles as possible -- we'll make millions! mwa hahahahahahaha. the 300, magnum, and charger... make little attempt to stand out from each other.

i have been thinking about it, and a friend of mine in high school told his parents that when he turned 16, he would happily drive ANY car that they would buy for him....he got his wish...a first year Geo Metro...3 cylinder...automatic...even new, it was very easily the WORST car ive driven...my roommate had a 95 tracker in college, with 100K+ on it, and while it was junky..it got around in the snow...the metro on the other hand was awful...i think it had like 63 hp or something??
