Default 2003 Allroad Transmission Issues

Hey Folks,

I'm new to the forum, but have read a bunch and know that there are many knowledgeable Audi enthusiasts here. My issue is this: I have a 2003 Audi Allroad 2.7T with 156k miles. The previous owner claims to have had an unbelievable amount of work done on the vehicle. (Including removing the air ride suspension and replacing it with regular coils.) In the last couple of weeks I've noticed the transmission going into limp mode in 1st gear and 4th gear. No CE light or anything that might suggest a serious problem. This problem is intermittent. Any thoughts?

Do you have the ability to check fault codes and transmission fluid level?

The TIP trannies in Allroads are known to have multiple issues. Reverse going out. Torque converter problems etc. Just because the previous owner had alot of work done doesn't mean the transmission is good. It's not at all uncommon for Allroad/Auto's to have issues. Sorry to say. I have had my Allroad for 6 years. You don't drive them/keep them because they're reliable. You have to be sick in the head to keep it.
