allroad S model ?
I've been looking to purchase a 4.2 as a winter car. This Sunday I looked at one & it was supposed to be an S line model. with 330 HP.
I was not able to find any reference to this option in a 2004.
There was a red "S" on the rear, but that could be from another car.
Any help would be appreciated
Thx
Gordon

The red S was an add on some owner along the line did.
While this generation of A6 did have an S-Line (in sedan form), the allroad was already a "special" trim level on its own (more or less an A6 wagon with some fancy suspension and plastic body cladding, plus the engine choices), and came with a bunch of options for back in the day.
So if the seller is trying to push it as an S-Line-its not.

I had never heard of an S-line allroad, either, but I saw another owner on Audiworld claiming his car was an S-line.

I just finished a country-wide Craigslist search for another allroad, and saw several cars with what appeared to be S-line badging on the rear hatch. Some cars had the badge on the right side, but one had the red badge on the left side, followed by "road"; no "all". Couldn't tell what trim upgrades this badging represented, though.
