Clutch worn?
Test driving a used Allroad manual, I did my 'high gear, high RPM clutch drop' (means: cruising on the interstate, push clutch, rev up, drop clutch). The clutch did NOT 'catch', instead kept slipping until I dropped to rpm to 'catch' it.
Is that a sign for a worn clutch? during normal driving, including hard launches and WOT pulls, the clutch did not slip and felt fine.
I will replace the clutch at a later stage anyway as part of turbo upgrade, but hope to drive the car first for some time.

The usual method of testing is to put the car in the highest gear while stopped and idling, then slowly release the clutch while holding the brake. If the engine stalls, then the clutch is "serviceable" (useable).
At high rpms the motor can probably overpower the clutch....
