Guys,
I need a little help. Im trying to learn about my audi and its lineage. for those of you who have read my few posts i just got a 2006 A-3 2.0t. and traditionally been a bimmer guy (99 e36 m3). i have know idea about the engine categories (b5? etc) can someone halp me out. what is mine? what have been some of the references to engines in the past ie 1998-01 a4/s4, a6,a8 etc... I know the beemers like the back of my hand e30 e36,e46 etc. In regards to the audi can someone parrellel the engines codes what they refer to etc. thanx

well for the A4's the b5's are from 97 or 98-01...and the b6's are from 02-05
and now the B7's are 05.5.
i would think that yours is considered part of the b7 category since you have the newer body with the 2.0T engine. and the older models have the 1.8T.
