every time we try to listen to am/fm stations its nothing but static on both of them...i tried changing from dx to local but still no sound...do any of you guys know what i should do? tired of listening to cd's and ipod lol...

oh btw its an 03 a4 vert...

I similarly have intermittant radio reception issues with my 04 softtop A4 which the local dealer said would be $200 in parts and $500 for installation! I haven't looked any further into it, but you can guess what I'll be doing this weekend. At least the CD loader is working well. I will be curious to see any feedback about finding the antenna wire in the car. good luck

I would suspect an antenna connection problem first.... if it's not that the radio needs replaced. If I where you I'd take it to a stereo shop before I'd take it to a dealer...

common problem on the b6 a4's

antenna booster module below the back glass near the top deck lid is most likely the problem.

same problem on mine, but im putting a new Avic-d3 in my car instead of correcting that problem. i basically only listen to Sirius and/or cd's so i don't care much for the radio stations.
