slimmj0k3r 06-20-2005, 01:27 AM I just want some feedback from this Jack Daniels Dealership. 2 of the guys i met there were good guys, but one asshole tried to take my money for a car that i didn't even want. I'm 100% sure this is where im going to buy my 2001 A4 From. If anyone has any feedback on this dealership like service wise, please let me know. Thanks
macfan 07-30-2005, 06:55 PM I have to say be very careful with what you buy from them. I bought 2 certified A4's from them 4 years ago and even though I never had any problems with the vehicles, I recently went to trade in one of the cars only to find out that it had been involved in accident that I was never told about. This of course brought down the trade in value. I decided to check out the second vehicle only to find out that it had also been in an accident and was also a fleet car. Again, things that were never disclosed to me at the time. They might be better now but who knows. When I did go to speak to the current manager about the whole situation, he pretty much just blew me off like I was wasting his time. I am now in the market for a new car and I am seriously considering the new A4. Needless to say, I will avoid that place like the plague. Good luck.
slimmj0k3r 07-31-2005, 01:49 AM Thanks for that feedback, i met 2 great people there, the one salesman, and one manager. But Beware for that financial manager becasue he just talks and talks and won't ever listen. Let me know how your search went because im going to purchase my audi sometime in september-october. I am going to check out Audi Of Bernadesville. they've got a WIDE selection of audi's.
red_wagen 10-11-2005, 03:00 AM I was there a coupla weeks ago and the salesman seemed ok. They have a new place now in Upper Saddle River, real nice too.
abacab 10-11-2005, 05:20 AM I work near JD Upper Saddle River location...so I am going to give the service department a shot. I have my first CEL ... bummer...
and I am going to take it in to them. I have not used them before...
kleinma 11-01-2005, 09:55 PM might want to check out this link

I bought my car there as well (just yesterday acutally)
My car JUST had its CPO certification 2 days before I bought the vehicle...
I was busy playing with the radio and such on my way home from the dealership, but on my next drive I decided to listen to the engine a bit and see how that sounded, and to my surprise, I hear this HORRIBLE noise coming from the front left suspension anytime I hit the smallest of bumps... Tell me how THAT could have possibly passed CPO.. I think the service guys there SUCK and they just try to push cars out the door as fast as possible.. 300 point inspection my ass.. i bet they glance at the car and sign off on it.. (also the top part of the center console was totally broken off (just laying in place) but that is less of a gripe over a major issue.
I am pissed off, but I am remaning calm for now until I hear something like its not covered under warranty.. which is when hell will start to break loose...
There are 3 audi dealerships between me and JD, but they just happened to have the used A4 I was looking for.. so I was in a tight spot.
dankhound 11-10-2005, 05:31 AM If you had two cars from there that were involved in accidents that passed cpo i would contact audi of america immediatly. All cpo's check for accident damage, which may not be visible, but a carfax report is also done. Funny how they did the carfax when you traded it in but not when they sold it.
Wintermute 04-07-2006, 07:44 PM I must say after today, I thought this was a nice place before the first time I went there. I was looking for a '96+ A4 & John Keating (I took his card) really was a nice guy, helped me out alot. After today I've never been so annoyed that no one in the parts section didn't even lift a finger to help me find a new mirror/6 cd changer/etc. Then after asking about body work & if they even didn't it or where they would recommened. Intead I get dirty looks from everyone but the lady at the main desk. I'm sorry some dumb 19 old year who would like to fix his car up.
Would anyone else know of an audi dealer near by I live in OC New York.
djlouieboom 04-22-2006, 10:45 PM I had bought my 01 a4 from them last may it was like pullin teeth to get problems fixed that were preiosly discussed when i bought the car,.. that when i called audi of america and the dealer changed there tune real quick,... its ridicilous

vnv727 09-07-2007, 12:55 PM I've been to Jack Daniels Audi and they were nice to me both times I've went there. Too be honest though, the sales people I meant didn't know very much at all about older Audis....gave me an odd look when I talked about the B5 platform S4 I wanted too get....

04ultrasprt 12-26-2007, 05:51 PM I recently have been looking for an 04 Ultra sport 1.8t and I found a few in the area, one happened to be located at Jack Daniels in Fair Lawn. My sister bought a VW a few years back from them and they never called us back when she had warranty issues with her car and I was a little skeptical going in again. I checked out the car they had and it looked great, they claimed it was certified and then I had them run a carfax. It came up that the car had been in an accident and had to be towed from the scene. Now how does that slip by the certification process? The car is still there, its a silver 04 with 42k miles, so beware. I ended up buying what I was looking for up at Palisade Audi, who so far have been excellent.
jack daniels 01-04-2008, 10:51 AM Point of information.......simply becausea car has a report of an accident on a car fax does not disqualifyit from becoming a certified car. Vehicles are checked completely for frame damage and for any violations to the integrity of the vehicle. As a dealer it is not our intentionto purchasevehicles for resale that will bring any headaches or hassles back to us from a new purchase customer. In this case our pre-owned manager reviewed the repair and quality of paintwork and then sent it to service for a pre-certification check. Everything passed and we went ahead and offered it up for sale.

04ultrasprt 01-26-2008, 01:41 PM So I put a deposit down on a car at Jack Daniels over a month ago, I called them an hour after saying I didnt want the car because of the car fax report. However they have yet to refund me.... I have called several times and Ive about had it with them. They lie about their cars and try to cheat the customers, I dont know how theyve been in business this long.
hey!! we dont call them stealerships for nothing:D
Silverback4 03-03-2008, 07:40 PM Jack Daniels sucks. See my post titled "Jack Daniels is the Worst". I have numerous complaints filed against them for outright fraud and deception. PM me if you want to get the addresses to file complaints. Hey John...[sm=bs.gif]
wesleypipes3.2 03-05-2008, 02:16 AM Never been there but obviously they aren't treating customers right if this many people are upset.. Sound like some SCHMUCKSSSS
Silverback4 03-09-2008, 09:31 PM Update. As of this date, Jack Daniels has let the time to respond to the NJ BBB complaint that I have against them to expire, with no response. Hope John from JD is still checking in so that they know ,THEY STILL SUCK. We'll see how they respond to the complaint filed with NJ Attorney General's Office, and the Bergen County Office of Consumer Affairs.
bythecsure 03-16-2008, 05:43 PM I bought an Audi from Jack Daniels in Fair Lawn and would never, never go back there! The sales guy was nice but the service departmentis terrible and they look at you like you are talking a different language when trying to explain a problem. I also made complaints to the main headquarters but at this point I don't care what they have to say. I tell everyone I know, and I know a lot of people, not to go there! Even the employees can't stand the way things are run there. so good luck John, you seem to have a lot of time to post on this blog...maybe you should be helping out your customers...

This is against the law to do. I had this problem a very long time ago, and found out that a dealer legally cannot hold a deposit on a car if you cancel the deal right away. The law is that you have the right to cancel ANY contract within 3 business days to allow an attorney to review it.File a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office for the State of NJ. Their phone number is 973-504-6200, and they are located at 124 Halsey ST, 7th fl, Newark, NJ 07102.
macfan 04-09-2008, 01:07 PM Its funny to see so many people with complaints. I just talked a friend out of buying a new Audi there. I told her about my problem with my 2 CPO cars and she starts to tell me that they were giving her a hard time about finding what she was looking for. WTF? The good thing is that there are plenty of other Audi dealerships to choose from.
Silverback4 04-09-2008, 02:06 PM Let's not let this go.There are alot of people here, and on the other Audi site that have contacted me about serious issues with Jack Daniels too. We need to get together on this to get something done. Audi of America is unresponsive, but the state agencies here seem to be looking into these things. I am here to offer any help to those with problems, and I can give you the contacts to file complaints.

Was it disclosed to the customer that the car had been in an accident? Did you inform the customer that when he goes to sell the car, the Carfax report will show that the car was in an accident, and that the value of the car will be reduced because of the Carfax report? The answer is NO. This was Not disclosed to several customers. I gave them the information needed to file complaints to the NJ Attorney General, and Bergen County Office of Consumer Affairs.
randomloginname 01-06-2009, 10:29 AM Any thoughts on these guys from the past 8 months or so? I am looking at a CPO B7 a4 there, nice green pearl one, fully loaded :-) Service would not be there, but at my local audi dealer since they are in Jersey and I am in Vermont, so I dont care about there service department other than how they have handled/certified the car.
