Just picked up my A4 this Friday and I love the car! One thing that really bugs me though are the tail pipes. Why didn't we get the chrome tips like the 3.2 did?

I found these on ebay. Has anyone bought from this seller before? Any comments? Is $65 fair for 2 tips?

hmm glad to see that the exhausts are separated symmetrically on the avant. I saw a promo video where they were paired on the left side similar to the 2.0T sedan.

I wonder why they did that?

1.8 Saloon and Avant has twin tailpipes on the left
2.0 Avant, tail pipe either side
2.0 Saloon twin pipes on the left

Weird setup with the 2.0T!

3.0 and 3.2 have one tail pipe eitherside.

Only the S Sline has the chrom tips in the UK at least

I test drove a US premium plus avant and both tips were on the left. I very much prefer the look of the euro s line avants like this (pic shows tips split and different plastic filler panel in-between)...

would they make em different just for Canada? ;p

Just wanted to report back. Got them and I'm very happy with them. Fit very nicely and look like something actually belongs on my Audi.

Whoa nice – is that an S-Line? It looks like it by the rims. I'd love to see more pics of that if it's your car. I've only seen cg renderings of the us s-line package on Audi's site.

Yes, it's the 19" s line wheel package, not the full s line with trim, bumper, seats, etc. Order with the 19" s line sport package on a Prestige, full s-line seemed accessive as the engine performance does not improve, it's simply cosmetic trim. You're not the 1st to ask. I'll post some more side shots this weekend. Extremely happy with the vehicle! I custom ordered in July, received in early Nov and felt that the avant would look much sportier if it had the 19" s line's on it but to be honest I did not see a photo of them until delivery of the car. The sport option makes a big difference since I saw one this morning w/o it, more family car look.

That's what mine looks like now.

Just brought home a white A4 just like yours and ready to start adding a few mods. How is the quality on the chrome tips? They look good and may be my first change.
