I'm sure more people would help you if they could decifer your new language. Your manual might help you find an answer too.

Not in the manual.

If you are not mechanically inclined, I'd take it to a VW/Audi mechanic and have him do it. The car has to be perfectly level, the fluid at the correct temperature and you have to put the fluid in from under the car. Just too much of a pain.

I would take it to a dedicated VW/Audi mechanic. The dealer will be expensive and transmission shop techs like Amcco aren't trained specifically in Audi transmissions. Besides, if you find a good independent mechanic, they should be good for other Audi jobs too if you find yourself in over your head.

Buy the oem transmission fluid. It will probably cost $150 bucks for a change.

If anyone wants detailed instructions PM me and i'll send you the pdf.

I went to AUDI about 2 months ago to get mine changed they said that for my car ( 99 2.8 Q Tiptronic) that it is a "sealed" unit and that you cannot change it.

I dont knwo why they would say that and everyone on these forums are saying they can change it. I dont get it, I want it done to my car, yet AUDI said it cant be done because of the "sealed" unit.

Anyone else know what I am talking about? Has anyone else got the same reply from AUDI before?

Also, I have read threads of people "cleaning their throttle bodies". I really dont know what this is so could someone please post a link explaining what it is and how to do it if neccessary.

Thanks Guys

The tranmission fluid is not a sealed system. There is a drain plug and a fill plug, both underneath the car. I had a VW shop change mine for 150 bucks.
