Hey guys, I'm a Newbie and I was referred to this site from my buddy.

Anyways I just bought a '99 A4 Quattro on Wednesday, and yesterday I installed my Alpine 9885http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/products/2006/500/h500CDA9885-f_dgp.jpg.

So after everything was in the car, I turn on the system, and every time I press a button on my H/U, the speakers make a loud popping sound. I haven't changed or removed the BOSE amp or messed with any of the speakers. I checked every wire and modification, and it just makes this popping noise. If I change to a CD or radio station, I hear this terrible, loud "pop." The only time I do not hear the sound is when I am running the ipod off of the H/U.

I wanted to ask the "pros" before I have to call crutchfield. Anybody have any ideas as to why??:(

well..crutchfield is full of "pros" lol they always walk me through everything...i did a head unit in my 99 w bose system, and there was a setting that said BEEP ON/OFF. every time i would hit a button, there would be a loud beep. i turned that off. then whenever i would change songs, i would hear a pop, but it wasnt very loud...it was audible, but not painful. i dont know if this helped or not lol
