yo i just got an a4 1.8t an its an 05 but it just chugs all my gas. theres no way its my driving because its rediculous. i probably get about 15 miles per gallon in the suburbs. i have read that some a4s get a lot of engine sludge what do you guys think. my car has alot of miles on it 2

do a full tune up and oil change. get some seafoam in the intake. i swear by that stuff! and maybe go as far as an o2 sensor and maybe a cat

 

Check the air cleaner. My old Grand Prix had a mouse that climbed up inside the air box and made a huge nest. Make sure the plugs are gaped correctly too.
