I figured I would start a tire review thread since there isnt any on this board.

I just bought some winter tires yesterday as it seems to be approaching fast. Normally I like to puchase good tires. Its one area I really dont like to skimp on. On my old 2002 Subaru WRX I had purchased some Dunlop Graspics and loved them. The only issue I had was that the sidewall lacked stability in the corners. But they were great on ice and snow. I ran on them for about 4 months before I stuffed the car into a ditch and totaled it on a nice clear night. I think if the sidewall was a bit more stable I might off been able to save it. Maybe.. oh well. so for the limited driving I had on them the were great.

This is the first year where I actually have to go budget and try and get the best bang for the buck and my time to do it was very limited. yesterday I bought some Nokian Nordman 2's I was planning on getting General Tire Alpine Arctic's but they had a screw up and didn't have what the computer said was in stock. So the offered the Nokian's at the same price.

I had looked at the Alpine arctik on Tire rack for reviews and all were really good for the price but now that I look for reviews on the Nordman 2's can barely find any:confused:.

Has anyone else bought these tires?

So far I have found they are extremely noisy and am now waiting for snow to see how they go..and stop in the inclement weather
