Hey just curious is anybody actually running nitrous in there audi's (not interested in doing it my self, merely curious) how much do you have to spend to beef up engine components to handle the added HP. Also what kind of shot? 50HP-150HP range im guessing?

but on which engine..?

if its the b6 s4 4.2 i bet it is a fresh discussion?

4.2 shares the same displacement figures as the S8 and S6 but beyond the block it really
is a completely different engine

Audi owners rarely every use nitrous. We have a little more respect for our engines.

I think A nitrous system is a great idea for many vehicles including an Audi. I don't think "respect" has any part in a well engineered Nitrous system. The truth is...... Audis are very slow. If someone opts for a nitrous system do some homework. I have never heard any problems with nitrous sytems that are applied apropriately in any vehicle. Do you know how nitrous works? I "respect" my engine but it still asks more of me.

If you want to go fast nitrous is the only way to go. these engines arent gonna blow. not with the internals they have been givin.

And if you want to go fast for more than 10 seconds, you do the engine up right.

Just put a '50' shot on a 01 A4 1.8T, no dyno sheets or anything but @ top end it does not do much at all but it DOES sure as heck take away all of the turbo lag!

I could throw a 75 shot on anycar in any parking lot and it wouldnt hurt it. Do a 75 shot and pick up 100 ft lbs of torque!
