That is so sad. I love those GTIS, i almost bought one but i decided on my A4 instead(I am not 19 anymore) Still too bad to see that happen

Since watching this video twice, I decided to run out to the hardware store, and buy an extinguisher. Rather sad, though, I saw a part of a fire extinguisher, why didn't he use it when the fire was still contained in the engine bay?

I thought this was another repost, but it turns out its just a necropost :D

Anyway, they could probably have also contained the fire way better if they had closed the doors and hood before they left the car. This reminds me of a funny story I read about these people who tried to burn their cars out for insurance money, so they doused the inside with gasoline, threw in a match, and closed the door. All they got was a torched interior because the closed doors starved the fire of enough oxygen to keep burning.

yeah if they had done that they probably could have saved the whole engine compartment, they had a lil extinguisher but did not know where the priority spots were to hit... sad.
