Anybody on this forum in the Pittsburgh area? I'm actually further west (almost Ohio) and looking for a mechanic for my new baby. I checked on Audifans.com, and the closest place listed is 3 hours away. Does anyone have experience with a mechanic in the Western PA area? I know of one major dealership (Sewickly BMW/Porsche/Audi) and one foreign motor shop, but his rates and times are essentially identical to the dealer. Any suggestions? My new car has 82K and no records, so I'm going to have to start with a belt/pump job.

i use eastside motorsports in baltimore i dont know if its worth the drive but i work part time there when he needs help and it is a really awesome shop.

 

Thanks for the link. I checked it out, and 1.8t only lists dealers, and most of the reviews are based on either sales price/experience or warranty maintenance. I already own the car, and the maintenance costs are coming out of my pocket. I was hoping to find a good non-dealer mechanic to handle all of my maintenance / inspections, etc. I checked the tuner list, too, but the closest one is 50 miles away. I may end up checking them out, but I'm still hopnig to find someone closer.
