:) My little old dear has just popped out to the shops and came back with a Mitsubishi Delica! Funny little thing it is too, but damn, its a cool wee machine! All the underpinnings, running gear, etc of a Mitsi Shogun, but with a bit of an MPV bodyshell! Comfy as hell, and shitloads of buttons to play with. I'm halfway convincing her to go greenlaning, so hopefully we'll be able to have a good wee play in the mud and hills! Its all alacantra...Seats, walls, ceiling...Thye lot. 2 svillely captain seats in the back, then a regular(ish) bench seat at the very rear! Full 4wd system, with 2H, 4H, and 4L... Oh, and the engine is under the front seats! :)

Seems like that second one would be a little top heavy, and try and tip over all too easily.

They are not top heavy. Its basically a Mitsubishi shogun, with a different top on. They are pretty accomplished off road, and they go on off road outings along with shoguns, defendfers, and jeeps, etc... great fun!

I would have convinced her to get an fj40...

Toff_the_Toffee

An FJ40 would have been no use driving to, and from Bulgaria! I was trying to get her to buy a Shogun, purley on reliability. But she fell in love with the Mystery machine, and has proceeded to become an entusiast for the first time in her life!

Ah that clears it up a bunch.

more power to her. Looks like a nice rig.

Toff_the_Toffee
11-03-2005, 10:45 PM
Not very... Shogun engine, and plenty of parts on the web. Not sure about US, but in UK its fine.

Grouse

the thread needed life support, to get it is not a one person job. Hence my useless bit of my life history/trivia. which would elicit the boring comment by some one, forcing me to reply with this long explaination. That in turn will make you call me a few diffrent names but. just to show I am nothing but strange, here you go.

I send my Evil Ninja Alpacca's to rob you blind.

You know how somtimes we get screwed in the us because we dont get some of the best cars europe and asia have to offer. That car just showed me the good side of not getting every car from europe or asia.

At least it has character.

remember tyhe US gave the world this

and http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/AmericanMotors/1977AMCPacerWagon-1.jpg

not exactly setting the world on fire now are they. Just for your information, you guys are losing out a lot more car wise than than the rest of the world is missing out on US vehicles!

No doubt about that. Just 10 years ago you needed at least 200k to get the MB G wagon in the states. Ive always loved that thing.

yup! It may be an odd car, but at least it ain't a hideous hummer!:D:D

I don't think you can get a Vauxhall Vectra in the US. They sound pretty fast.

A vesctra is your regular family car.. It's not fast, and it's in no way desirable... It's a bit similar to a Malibu! Only in the UK can some friggin off dutu copper get cleared of doing 159 mph and get off scott free. He was 'testing out the car, and its capabilities'. What a prick, and what a prick the court was. Thats the excuse I'm gonna use. I was testing out the car, officer.

I think it might work for you. I'm sure the court always falls for the ol "I was running a test" excuse.
