i was just wondering if tehre are any worth while replacements for the amber bits of lighting on the car? just a personal thing, but i hate the color amber on cars

 

you know i thought the same thing when i first bought my car so i replaced all the amber with blue and it looked WAY to ricey for me so i then replaced them with red, this made my car look like a christmas tree, so i just switched back to amber and right now i really like it.

 

you can remove the amber reflector in the corner, it's a very common mod that isn't very difficult. all you need is a drill and some needle nose pliers. after you do the clear corner mod the corners still look amber because of the bulb. another common mod is to paint the amber bulb with high temp silver duplicolor. that way it looks silver during the day but still lights up orange. if you have the taillights with the amber signals you can upgrade to 99.5-01 tails, which have only red.

 

no, its a 2002, so the tails look fine, and ive thought about getting the sylvania silverstars to kill the amber look during the day, i do want to get the HID though, do i need the whole system of just bulbs to get the real HID look?

 

yea its alittle bit trickier then replacing the bulbs, your headlamps are HID ready? i think???

yeah, i agree, that silver tab left over there doesnt do too much for me

 

it doesn't do much for me either.........but honestly.....my car looks SOOO much cleaner now that all of the amber is gone. you can look at the front end of my car as a whole. before......they amber signals would just pop out at you and draw your eyes towards them.

i say do it anyways, but its your choice. you could always go for e-codes
