ImolaS4 07-15-2004, 03:17 PM I don't know of a chip available yet for the '04 TT. Abt has chips for the TT up to 2002 that I know of for sure. I'll check my sources and let you know. ImolaS4 07-15-2004, 03:32 PM OK.. AWE has the GIAC chip for the 2004. GIAC chip for 2004 TT (http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=5&PEI=2&PP=tt_18t_chips.cfm&PPT=Chips&IL=GIACChips) ImolaS4 07-15-2004, 03:33 PM And APR...... APR chip for 2004 TT (http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_upgrade_tt.html) LovinMyTT 07-15-2004, 04:05 PM none of these appear to be for the 250....all are for the 225....am i missing something? :-) ImolaS4 07-15-2004, 05:36 PM Oooops! My bad! My brain read 250 but I processed 225.[sm=smiley9.gif] You mean the new 3.2 engine, don't you? I think there has been some work with supercharging; IIRC the numbers were over 300hp. Nevertheless, I have a call out to a buddy with a VW R3.2 - he'll know the scoop. ImolaS4 07-16-2004, 04:07 AM Hey!! My friend called back and said that both APR and GIAC are working on or have already come out with the chip. It isn't listed yet because it's so new. He suggested calling GIAC directly as well as APR. He did remind me/you that the 3.2 does not benefit from a chip very well. The best you can hope for is an increase of 10-15%. Supercharging the beast is more desirable. LovinMyTT 08-02-2004, 05:38 PM Hey Imolas4 Thanks for the info! My boy told me that he had read the same info about the 3.2 not benifiting from the chip very well... So supercharging....what kind of increase do you think i could get and any ballpark ideas on cost of doing something like that? ImolaS4 08-02-2004, 09:41 PM SC's tend to give monster increases in HP, but they do come at a price. I've heard of many SC's ranging from $2k to $5K, depending on the application. LovinMyTT 08-03-2004, 12:16 PM Do you know of any company names? ImolaS4 08-03-2004, 03:19 PM PES makes one for the 1.8t engine. Maybe they're working on one for the 3.2 engine. ImolaS4 08-03-2004, 03:24 PM Ahhaaaa! I just found another tuner! VF Engineering (http://www.vf-engineering.com/) makes an SC for the VW R32; I don't see why this wouldn't be applicable for your car. ImolaS4 08-03-2004, 08:05 PM By the way: I never officially welcomed you to the forum... so... Welcome to the forum LovinMyTT! If you're not familiar with some of the jargon, please click the START HERE! (http://www.audiforums.com/START_HERE%21__Terminology_%26_Vocab_lists/m_6320/tm.htm) link. There you will find a forum vocab list, an Audi forum terminology list and an Audi lexicon list. They should be very helpful to you if you're not familiar with the jargon. Please feel free to ask any question, but double check the archives first. Many questions have been archived and, quite often, the answers are comprehensive. ImolaS4 08-03-2004, 10:54 PM Were there other mods you were considering? LovinMyTT 08-04-2004, 12:03 PM Thank you for the welcome ImolaS4!
