I posted this in the A4 section, but maybe I will get more response in this section.
Looking for recommendations for a suspension for my 96 A4 2.8 quattro 5speed.
Would like the best bang for the buck springs/shocks combo or coilover combo for a soft civil ride, nothing too harsh. I just need to swap out my worn original suspension and dont want to spend too much $$$. Any recommendations?

best combo is probably, blistein or koni shocks and eibach springs. this will be expensive though around 600 just to get them. i have my blistein shocks here, but they sent me the wrong springs, i should get the springs and get it all installed in 1-2 weeks ill let u know how they feel. Also its either real expensize or fairly time consuming to install shocks and springs.

I was thinking of this combo:
Koni Yellow shocks/ or Kayaba AGX (Koni has my vote)
Eibach Race springs
RCA (roll center adjustment) <--to kill the stress on the suspension
camber plates
what do you think?

the price of my kit should be about 800 euros (that should be about 1000 $).The sucky part is that ill have to build my own RCA
I forgot about the sway bars.Think ill go for H&R

im about to do suspension on my a4 as well i was thinking bilstein and leaving the stock springs, i was reading up and someone on here had that done he said it was a perfect drop something like 30mm i cant remember exactly. He said it wasnt too low but low enough. Althought i dont understand because some people say you have to replace the springs as well at the same time because they will blow

i've got an 2.8 stock a4. what about the h&r cup kit? each shock and spring comes assembled together and i think a set of 4 only costs $550. i live in charleston, sc and the roads are pretty harsh. koni yellows are awesome...for autocross. even adjusted as soft as they can go, they're still real stiff...at least on my buddy's civic(koni yellow adjustables w/ eibach springs). the h&r cup kit has, i believe, a 2" drop on the front and 1.7" in the back. i've heard good things, but never from an audi owner/driver. any info/suggestions?
