Welcome to the forum nige.s!

What do you want to know about the car? Ride? Performance? Reliability?
Are you referring to the Euro model or the U.S. spec model?

1989 is an early model that I'm not too familiar with... I do know that Audi's have always had issues with the front end suspension components - tie rods and control arms. Unfortunately, it's been an issue with Audi forever; we just accept it. Other than that, I'd suggest registering with audi-sport.net and posing your question there. The guys there have greater access to this kind of info and there are guys with older models there, too.
