i think my central locking system is going bad because it makes this wierd meowing noise when i lock and unlock the car. i think it may be covered under my warranty but idk. it says on the coverage paper taht the power door lock actuator is covered. does anybody know if the central locking system is the same as the power door lock actuator? thanks

 

and also does any1 know if the locking system is electrical or run by a pump? i located it and found the very annoying noise, i just need to figure if i can fix it or if i have to replace it. comments please

 

mine also makes a similiar noise, when unlocking the trunk but everything works fine. pretty sure thats just the sound the actuator makes.

locks run on a vacuum system. where is the noise you found coming from? do your locks still work?

power door lock actuator is only part of the whole system, there is an actuator for each door, trunk and gas filler door. other parts of the system are system pump, and distribution box.

 

its the pump or actuator opposite where the jack is, under the carpet. yeah everything works fine but i just get annoyed with the sound.

 

mine makes that noise, kind of sounds like its not gunna unlock all the way or its gunna die but it seems to work fine

 

hope this does not happen to u guys as I heard its very rare but my central locking computer gave in so had to replace that!
