S4 Avant

So OK, what should I look for with this car? What can go bad on these? I don't know too much about Audis, I have a bimmer currently....

Make sure it hasn't been heavily modded and damaged. I hear the turbos can be problematic over time if you push the engine too hard - but ultimately I don't really know too much about this car specifically. I have the v8, not the bi-turbo V6. Good luck.

 

Cool, so what engines were available for the 2001 S4? If it is a V-6 then it is automatically the 2.6 bi-turbo?, or was there other V-6s?

2.7 liter biturbo, thats it. For that price, make sure the timing belt, water pump, etc. have been replaced. Also, u may want to take a look at the cluster b4 u buy it and u may be able to have them swap it 4 u if there are lines out. The turbos are hit or miss. There are guys that had them blow at 15k miles, and others that still have them running strong at 140k+ miles. Other than that check s4biturbo.com for some info on buying, i referred to there a lot.

they aint in yet! unfortunately.... Im just waitin till i get all of my crap for my car at xmas, then im gettiing it all put on in the spring, cuz i also need them to replace the windshield, and fill in a bunch of chips in the paint, all from hail storms in colorado, so ill have pics, most likely when i get my wheens and such.
