Sorry, I couldn't resist that. I really have not raced many cars in my A4. One WRX since I upgraded the turbo, and I beat him. Never been out to the track in my car either. You?

I raced a kid in an M3 on some shity twisty deserted streets
Every time we hit a strait patch he would take off but in the turns I was right on his ass, I decided to back off when he started fish tailin tryin to loose me in the corner
he was just a suckass driver in a fast car though I wanna find some tracks somewhere

I had fun with a Mustang GT and 540i on Sunday, and a 645i yesterday. Of course we never went over the speed limit.

Of course the most fun I had was with a red ZO6 on Friday at the shore. This guy was funny. He was around 50yrs old and had matching red OP sunglasses. His radio was playing some sort of club/dance music - it was way out of character for a guy his age. He kept over-revving his engine at stop lights. (Can you say mid-life crisis?) [sm=smiley8.gif]

The traffic was too thick for him to do anything except jump from one lane to another occasionally. It was very easy to stay with him and I could tell he wanted to show off to me.... so... eventually he had a chance. The traffic opened up and he took off - exhaust blaring. I down shifted and punched it. I hung behind him down the length of the boulevard - about three cars lengths behind during the whole blast. It was obvious he wanted to pull away, but it wasn't happening. [sm=smiley36.gif]

I pulled up next to him at the next light and looked over - he smiled and I said (sarcastically), "Were you trying to get away from me?" My GF then said, "You just got owned by a four door family sedan - and it costs 20K less than yours, too!!!" (I love my GF!) We laughed and drove off - ahead of him - the traffic owned him from that point on.

well, as far as street "racing" on lights did enough modified Civics, Preludes.. Monte Carlos, mustangs... all with my stock S4.
as far as real racing, did once on the Poconos International Raceway in 2001. right after i got my car. it was not even broken in completely. plus i had a broken ancle two month before, so my left foot was not bending - tough on pressing clutch. :)
in the groop there were new WRX, M5, top of the line Comaro with Corvete 5.7 engine (automatic though), modified Prelude (full suspension, exhaust, some other stuff), modified M3 E36 (similar to Prelude)...
went something like that:

WRX which Subaru in commercials compared to S4 could keep up with stock S4 in the corners (weights less) but on the strait i would pull away.

M5 is a beast ofcourse, still in the corners we were equal, on the strait he would pick up speed faster between 45-90mph (short straight). no replacement for displacement. [:@] not by much, but still.

Camaro was a horror in the corners. back of the car was all over the place even at low speeds.. i had to keep a distance, cause i was afrid it would spinout in front of me.
stright - not much difference even though it had twice the engine litterally. tranny is slow on it. plus i would have lot more speed comming out the corners.

Prelude was no comparison, even though it had whole suspension setup. he would go in faster into the corner, i would comeout faster (Quattro). straight line, he was eating my dust all the time. VTEC... [8D]

M3 had headers, exhust, chip, race suspension, and sticky tires. guy was faster in the corners. misserably faster in the stright. i was still able to keep up with him all the time. again - comming out the corners helped a lot. he had to push it all the way (oversteered few times) trying to have same speed comming out of corners...

altogether it was fun. wanna do it again, but only after i upgrade my S4 a bit... ;)

I took a new toyota corolla off the line at a stop light. The guy was a lil stupid youngster. He reved at me thinkin he was the shit and i was like alrite how lame. Im rollin in an audi 2002 A41.8Q and u think your the shit wit a corolla. i slammed on the gas at green and took the fool. i guess i my 1.8 engine is better a corolla 1.8 engine . We stopped at the next light and he reved at me again wanted to go again but i beat him and there was no point in a second run so he just bolted off and i went on my way.

on the hwy, doing about 70... a chic in a mustang decided to pull up along side me and punch it. needless to say i didnt race but watch her speed away... i shoulda followed her. :)

back when i had my 93 100s i was on i84 bringing my girlfriend home, first week of having the car. Actually i think it was the third day. It was about 10 oclock so the highway had medium traffic and i noticed a newer mustang, a toyota celica, and a camaro lining up, its a 4 way high way, and keeping a steady speed... i was behind and noticed the camaro (in the middle) flashed his headlights 3 times and they all punched it so i wanted to see if i could keep up. I caught up within the next exit and flew by all of them, let off the gas and waited for them to try and come up again, as soon as they would get close i would punch it again and take off. I didn't think i had any chance at all. That was the day my girl friend decided she enjoyed my car haha. We had to get off at the next exit, where we had to dip from 118 to 50... that wasnt' fun but none of them even crossed 100 mph... whats the use in having that power if they're not going to use it

hi guys down in here in sunny miami florida. Yeah in Miami street races are part of everyday car culture. We have races by alligator alley and deserted highways where no body can see us . as for cops they usually come by then we had split. Usually there are civics,supras, neons,audis and Bmw M3's . there are also mustangs and Pontiac firebirds. Sometimes people bet money which is really cool

So i raced my friends GST, we did a rolling start from 30 and we took off surprizingly i killed him, we meet back up again at a red light and the first 2 gears i had him then he flew by me at 3rd going into 4th then we slowed down right after. i was surpized how even we were, i donno if he slipped a gear or not but i was impressed at what my baby did. thought i tell u guys

back in the day of my 95 geo prizm, I tried to take a passat 1.8T. 60-100+ for him and 60-95 for me. It was good times. he totally creamed me by at least 1 8car lengths but at least my car made it to 95. I did manage to get the car up to 103mph, (2miles building to 85mph, then 2miles to 103) the thing should have blown (it also had no tach). A geo record maybe?

Racing is fun as long as you know when to pursue it. one of my wildest races if u want to call it a race started in Miami Florida on the Florida Turnpike which is a major highway that leads all the way up to the Northern states. My race started when I was not racing at all. I was speeding on My old Audi 1.8 Turbo. I wanted to get to Disney World really fast so decided to put my car Radar on to avoid the Cops it worked. Since i was passing everyone in my wake suddenly a blue BMW 325i car starts to speed up trying to pass me. I did not want to be behind this car so I just kept on driving faster. The car was now on my fender trying to pass but I did not give him a chance. I knew the spaces where to go and all that. We kept on racing almost for one hour and a half. Until finally I just exited to Orlando and he kept on going to who knows where. The guy never passed me because I knew where to be at the right time.

i love the highway races. i did that with a mitsubishi evo VIII and it was awesome. weaving in and out of traffic. awesome rush. my little sister was in the car and loved every mintue of it

Your Audi will get spanked in ever way by a ZO6...on a straight away and on a road course. They have too much power and handling. AWD won't give you any advantage against it.

Any car can win a race as it's all dependent on the driver. I own a Audi S4 (2004) and i've driven both the C5 ZO6 and the new C6 and the Audi is simply underpowered and outperformed by the Corvette. Unless you drive the Audi at some lame Autocross event where you never reach speeds of greater than 70 MPH and you have to enter 20-30 turns, the Audi will have an advantage, but Vetters aren't designed for this. I love my Audi, but it's no Vette.

On the freeway, raced 3 M3s so far, beat two, one had beat me, fair and square, although by not that much. Also beat two Mustang GTs by a long shot, they were either lousy drivers or...but you got traffic, zig-zag and all, so hard to tell. Lost big time to Evo VIII, I was doing approx. 125 mph and he just pulled away as I was crawling, not sure if he was moded or not, but he surely made me look slow. At the stop lights, I spanked M45, Z4, Mustang GT, S2000, a selection of loud rice-a-ronies. I got spanked by SVT Cobra, WRX STi and a crappy looking Buick who took off as he was launched by a missile, not sure what was under his hood, sounded like turbo spooling.
On the drag strip, mixed bag, as a matter of fact, I will post a video later today of 5 drag races the other night. In the past, truly spanked an M3, but he was such a shitty driver I can count it as success.
Bottom line, mine is a 2005 S4 full stock, so not your typical racer car with its chunky weight.

San Diego. It is not just me, it is our Southern Cal culture. Most people are cool about it, no anger, flipping fingers and all that crap. It is all about having fun. Why have an S4 if I am going to drive it as an A4? But it is nothing crazy, if traffic is heavy, people don't do it. I have never been in a sticky situation due to racing. Here in San Diego we take our cars and races to heart, we even have a local venue dedicated just to (legal) racing... www.racelegal.com.

lol thats cuz you live in mass like me cop are pretty strict bout that shit and its hard to find a place to safely "race" someone. Not to mention all the back roads are littered with potholes.

i think me and my friend hold the record for that. we had the speedometer pegged going from lancaster to Santa Clarita on the 5 freeway, we were going at least 120.

I just picked up a 02 A6 with the 2.7. with the 6 speed. I raced my buddy with a 98 M3, Auto and crushed him. Dead stop all the way to about 100. Seriously crushed him though, it was embarassing. I was proud of my beast. It seems way too heavy to eat quick cars like that. I can't wait to throw some mods in 'er!

Sidenote, I used to own a 97 Camaro that was pushin 400 hp after major engine work. My most fun race was on a 3 lane highway in WI in the middle of the day with the top down against 2 crotch rockets. We buzzed along at 160+ for 20 minutes. Sure made it home quick that trip!!!

1. My dad has a Ram SRT10 with cai, exhaust, chip. went from a 40 roll, had him by about 6 cars at 125.
2. 02 Z28. auto with exhaust. we went from a 50 roll and i had a half a car on him (great race).
3. 93(i think) 5.0, hes got exhaust, intake, and other mods. we went from a 45 roll, total domination.
4. 02 mustang gt. hes got headers, full exhaust, chip, intake, radials, intake plenum, went from a 40 roll had a car and a half on him at 120, then he lets off bc it gets ugly
5. 99 LS1 trans am. hes got exhaust and intake. had him by a car at 135 from a 40 roll.
6. 03 mustang gt. headers, intake, intake plenum, full exhaust. went from a 40 roll and a car on him by 80.
7. cobalt ss. exhaust, we went from a 40 and 60 roll, it got really bad really fast.
8. 03ish Lightning, dont know mods( i know all the other guys ive raced). went from a 40 roll, had a car on him by 80.
9. turbo eclipse. dont know mods, from a dig had 2 cars on him by 90.
10. 300zx twin turbo, exhaust intake, and clutch, went from a 40 roll had like 12 cars (really bad) by 120.
11. 05 civic si, not even worth talkin about
12. 96ish Z28, dont know mods, from a 60 roll, had 2 cars on him by 120.
13. Another 96ish Z28, dont know mods, went from a 40 roll, had a car a half on him by 80.
14. Ur gonna think im crazy on this one but, 03 Z06, we went from a 40 roll all the way through 2nd then he let off and we were side by side. :)
15. Subaru wrx sti, exhaust, and blow off vlaves, went from a 40 roll and had 2 cars on him by 115.
16. 01 S4. intake, went from a 40 roll, had about 6 or 7 cars on him by 120. (wont happen any more, hes got k04s now)

Ive got a b+m short throw shifter, neuspeed exhaust, abd racing cold air intake, abd racing m.a.f. intake pipe, GIAC X chip, diverter valves, lightened flywheel, stock bi-turbo, 19 in. bling bling, and 2 kicker 12s. Just ordered my down pipes!! cant wait!! and with all that i should be pushin around 410 hp at the crank( if all mods are as advertised, prolly not). id get my car dynoed but there isnt a all wheel drive dyno in AR. But there is a problem...my second gear synchro is retarted so when i get on it in first it grinds for just a lil bit and then goes into second and makes me look like a VAGINA!! so it slows me down a little from the dig.
