Hi I have a 2000 TT and I want to get window tints installed on my car. The local shop said it would be around 200 bucks does this seem acurate or is it too much. Also I was wondering about the windows rolling down when you open the door, because after you get tints installed you arnt supposed to roll down the window for a week. Has anybody done it and how did they stop that and if any body has pics that would be cool if they posted them.

 

When I went to get my tints done, I got all three windows done for only 100, so 200 way expensive. I know people that have SUVs that do all thier windows for less then 200. I suggest going somewhere else. I got 20% for that sporty yet classy look.

 

I got quoted by a place in NC for $235 when I had my A4, and that was a deal, the local place (theres only one) here in NY quoted me $180 for the TT, w/ lifetime warantee.

 

Mine cost me 300.00 in Phoenix. The guy came to my house to do it. They are illegal for according to the city code do to the darkness of the tint. Hence the extra cash. All in all though talking to some others for that car it wasnt to bad. I guess the windows in the TT are hard to tint well becuase of the shape and curve. Dont worry about the dropping of the window when the door is open, if the guy knows what he is doing then it wont be an issue.

 

Dopeboy, how dark is the 20% at night? Any issues? I like that and am thinking about doing tint this weekend.

 

Not sure where ur from but i got my windows tinted at Ziebart it cost me 245 and it one step away from limo tint. You'll have to try not to roll down ur windows for like 5-7 days but i even accidentally rolled em down a few times and nothing happened. they leave a space at the top for the window to come down when u open the door.
