Apart from being something Michael Douglas has had what is a facelift on an Audi A4

A facelift on any car is when they change the front fascia (and usually the rear) by making minor tweaks that clean up lines or sharpen edges. It still looks like the original car though, just better. Facelifts are associated with the exterior but usually run inot th einterior as well. In 98.5 they changed the rear tail lights, that could be considered a facelift, just to the rear. in 99.5 they changed the headlights to one-piece units, and also changed the tail lights again. But for '02 they totally restyled it, in and out, so that's not a facelift.

i thought a facelift was when only appearance changes... but engine and power stayed the same
