So I really want to do this as my first mod and would like to see what it looks like if anyone has pictures. An Avant would be nice too since thats what I have.

Question, some B6's came with the moldings already painted?

Starting in the second half of 04 Audi started offering "full body paint" as an option. So probably the Audi's you are seeing with painted lowers are 04's or newer. I have a silver 03 A4 and actually I am having my lowers painted today. My local dealership has a guy that comes by once a week that does this kind of stuff and they even told me Audi would include the paint job with my original warranty. It's costing me some dough though, 350 bucks. I just told them I want it to look exactly like a silver 04 or 05. I'm excited to see how it's going to turn out. I'll post some pics when I get it. It should be ready for pickup at the end of today.

$350!! Thats cheap as hell! How long will you be without your car? I want to do this but can't afford not having my car for that long.

Well I got my car back and it's all painted. Everything looks good and I'm real satisfied with it. However, if you stand and stare at the factory paint and the new paint you can kind of notice that it's a slightly (and I mean slightly) different shade of silver. I think this is only because of the different plastic surface and/or paint fading. Anyway, the guy only ended up charging me 300 bucks for the whole job. Overall, it looks A LOT better than it did before and I'm glad I had it done. It's night now so I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

He also said if I come back he would take off my front vanity plate, fill the 4 holes in the bumper and repaint the entire bumper for 60 bucks. I'm really considering it since I'm not a fan of front license plates.

Please post them since this is the same color car that I am looking for (sedan though, not Avant). This is something that I will definately have done to make it all one color. Thanks!
