I'm looking for ways to hook up my ipod to my '02 S4 (Bose Symphony). I've searched, read all the posts, know about the Dension Ice>Link and other systems, but they all seem to miss one fatal integration: Track title on the radio head unit!

Ipod integration for me means both ways: 1) Control and charge your ipod from the HU controls and 2) Display track/title info from the ipod back on the radio. I know my Symphony system can display text, since with RDBS I see song titles from various radio stations.

My question is: Is there any ipod integration for my '02 Audi S4 with Bose Symphone and the CDC changer plug in the trunk that will allow display of the track title on the radio head unit, yes or no.

This is actually the best I've found:

I'm currently working on the iPod display in my car (2000 S4), but it'll be a long time before a mass produced item's available. The market and demand for such a product isn't there. The iPod's digital words need to be displayed, but the method in which different car manufacturers do this is different.

I suggest replacing the Audi's H/U with the Alpine IVA-W200. You'll get full speed iPod control on the double DIN touch screen. Add Alpine's H701 for the ultimate Digital Signal Processing flexibility, and add your flavor of amps. See my tutorials for how I installed everthing from CD player, amplifiers and speakers!

Cheers,
Matt
