Have any of you ever topped out your audi's my speedometre reads 260 km/h and i hope she will reach it im sure ill have to mod it a bit but have any of you ever topped out your audi's.

My tires top out at 112mph (snows). I have yet to over 100 in my car because usually i have one of my friends in the carand Im not legal to drive anyone yet, so if I speed I'm f**ked. I can't wait 'till summer going up to Vermont where there are great places to top it out.</P>


If you are gonna speed, i recommend not exceeding your tire rating.</P>

yea, i have taken the a8 to 130, then the rev limiter kicks in. Its a 98.

I made a couple of passes on the road to make sure it was safe, and she got up to 165 mph and still had a little more left in her. WOW imola is soooo fast!!

i belive my limiter is at 130-135 but i know it can go a lot faster...in 4th gear i've hit 115 before my tach limiter came into play. i have not taken the audi past 125 yet. the fastest i have gone was in my 92 saturn sl2 the needle was bouncing off the 130 mark (highest it goes)and still going. that run was a little scary...verry bad brake fade

IS that mph or / kmh cause my buddie has a lumina 3.1 also and its got some sure muscle for stock. pretty coool peace.

i think limiters came into play in the mid 90....so you should have no prob in your 86</P>

yea this weekend i went 152 in my buddys 95 m3, that was about the scaryest thing i have ever done, it was on rural roads, and any slight bump the thing would jump like crazy.

We've done about 121 mph in ou A4 avant TDi in France. Quite ok but our previous cars were much faster...</P>

i also topped out a chevy corsica 3.1 V6 i think it was a 93. the speedo only wnet up to 85 but i had it pinned for a scary long ride. flARE is right that stock engine was very fast. it was only a three speed auto, but very quick of the line.

I went past 130 before but I feel bad taking my car so high into the RPM's.

im my a4 ive easily hit 130, fastest ive gone with the governor raised to 180mph(not removed using revotec) i got it up to 149mph almost going into redline, was going to do another pass and see if i could hit the magical 160+ but i had a bad wheel bearing from hitting a bump or something during another 100+ run and worse yet the Illinois state trooper was out in the chargers, not a god mix since it took me some time to hit 149. im pretty much done with speeding though, i found out i have cruise control.

Cruise control works well at 150.;)

cruise controls just my way of keeping my foot of the gas,although i dont see why it wouldnt work at 150.

i got mine up to 125 once trying to keep up a highly moded b5 s4 i was headlights in the rear veiw mirror the whole time but it was fun

I had a 1991 Chevy Lunima 3.1 and it was governed at 112-115. Pretty fun car actually..super reliable...Anyways my 4.2 is limited at 147...Haven't got her up that far because of space and common sense, but I have bumped 125 on a stretch of I-90. My Lexus is limited at around 135. I don't think that car has ever been over 90mph. I also have a 1980 Dodge D-50 4 banger...topped out at 82...Its a powerhouse....lol [8D]It hauls my dirtbikes and the occassional trip to the dump and thats it. Its nice to have a little truck for hauling stuff.

i dunno i have hit 140 and i know i could of kept going but i got scared and slowed down...140 and not even chipped yet?? shit is gonna hit the fan when i do get chipped...;)

mine tops out at 130 and i've gone 127 in it with a friend who also likes cars. we would have topped it out but some traffic was comming up like half a mile up so we slowed down.

topped out at 135 or somewhere close to that with the palmoar run and out to borrego springs. flat 5 mile 2 lane road. we'll see what it changes to when i get chipped...not very much i bet haha

I'm not really a top speed kind of guy, I stick with twisties, but I was w the new girl this past friday, and after a canyon run, ther's a flat straight farmroad/hwy and I ran it up to 125, and that's the fastest the audi has gone...The fastest I have gone was on a Kawa Z-750s, topped out at 175! (I am pretty sure that was a once in a lifetime thing, If any of you ride i am sure you have noticed that if you sit on the gas too long you are going 140 and don't even know it)

120 in the A4, 155 in the Z, and 172 riding in a Viper GTS.

my 2nd Gen stock automatic eclipse did 140. im not trying it in the audi, not with my driving record. but chipped it should be set close to 150, 147 i tink was the number stated, but im not going to try.

brought mine to 230 km/h (130mph) and she still had more left in her. Man it was AWESOME!!!!

^^^you've got them mixed up, mon frere... You need a stable warp field, basically a cohesive TSC (time/space/continuim) bubble, to travel at warp speed. Flux Capacitors are used for time travel. The 1.21 Gigawatts is necessary to power the equipment needed to instantly open a tear in the very fabric of 4th dimensional space and close it behind you. Warp fields can ONLY be used for time travel if/when you combine it with teh intense gravitational forces of a class "C", or bigger, Sun, such as ours.

i took my a4 to 130mph before it cut off....
i took my friends chrysler srt8 to 175mph before it cut off
the kicker, i took my friends M5 to 190mph and it still hadmore to go.....

Took my 98 A4 V6 30V up to 130 untill it cut out.

Felt like I wasn't even on the road, like floating above it.

Kinda scary, think it's because my tires are rated for 137.

That's kinda weird.... I played with an Outback the other day and went a little over 140 according to my Tomtom... Is the speed regulator something that can be accessed by Vag-com?

No i think taking the govener out is a major op.

My friends dad had the govener takin out of his $100,000K porsce 939 and now his tack dosen't work.

I'm pretty sure it's a mechanical limiter that need's to be disabled (part of the tranny), not an electronic mod.
