Is the A4 2.0t a car to keep for +5 years?
I'm currently 21 and looking to get my second car. I'm currently driving an 04 accord financed for 5 years (ends July 2009). By next year, once I start my higher paying job, I'd like to do one of the following:
option A: finance an 06 audi a4 2.0t quattro 6MT (chip'd of course
) for 5 years, and keep it until it starts showing trouble
option B: lease an 06 bmw 330i 6MT for 3 years
option C: lease an 06 is350 for 3 years
The thought of leasing seems extremely nice because I can drive a nice car and not have to worry about the car breaking down since it'll be covered under warranty. I can also get a feel for the type of car I'd like to drive in the future. However, the thought of being limited to 12-15k/year (although I'm sure I'll be under) and not owning the car is a disadvantage, I tend to like to own things.
However, I'm not much of a racing, high speed driving guy, and even though I am financing my accord now, and cant' wait to get a new car, i sometimes love it to death and will be sad when i depart with it, i want this feeling, but with something better like an a4 lol. While i'm thinking about which new car i want now, sometimes i would just think to myself "damn, why am i spending all this money on a new car, it's JUST a car" The A4 also has a style that I don't think i'll ever get tired of, unlike the 330i (ugly *** rear!) and the IS350 (i can see myself getting tired of the sharp lines of the body already), that's why i'm considering financing the a4 and not the others.
So if I go with option A, my final question is, how reliable are Audis? I love how they have the maintenance free for 4years/50k miles, but what kind of problems are to be expected after that time is up? How much will it be fix those problems?

hard to answer this one. If you like the car after owning it for a day the keep it...now keep asking yourself this everyday til one day you say Im tired of it and I wanna sell it.
Plan for the future, but take things one day at a time. I love my audi today, but tomorrow I may not.

I'll probably keep my 99.5 A4 for 5 years plus, perfect fun daily driver so far. Can't go wrong with Audi, though the B7 has grown on me, I hope the B8 is killer.
