Amplifier Wiring please help
just finished wiring new front and rear speakers, and amp power cable. now i have to get the remote wire and the signal cables to the amp. I bought a fosgate amp wiring kit to go with my rockford fosgate type rf amp, and it came with a signal wire with 2 RCA's. I bought a line converter, the schoche sc4. My question is which wires from behind the head unit do i put into the converter, and which wire do i use as the remote wire. also, i dont understand why there are only 2 rca's rather then 4. I have read on the forums about people tapping into the rear stock amp, or using female rca's. I have all of the other stuff done, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I just need someone to tell me which wires to use. I have the concert head unit in a 99.5 A4. Thanks.
grrrrrr use female rcas, line converters **** everything up and suck ***.............. ok now that i have that out there, you should run the remote for the amp to the 75x terminal under the knee bolster on the drivers side, rca's the reason there are only 2 is becuase it only needs two right and left the siginal is taken in the amp and can run many speakers you dont need a wire per speaker... and if you insist on the line converter do it from the rear speakers not by the HU its too much of a pain to do it htere
alright lol i will use female rca's, but which wires do i use to splice them in? i should do that behind the head unit right? and for the remote wire, i have no idea what the terminal that you are talking about is...thanks
for the terminal search 75x and you will fid a pic, as for the female rca's on wire goes to the speaker out and the other wire goes to the common ground and the same for the other rca the one wire goes to the other speaker out and then the other wire to the comm ground
i am retarded when it comes to stereo wiring...i just dont know which wires on the back of the H/U to splice into female RCA's. and then i run the signal cable from those female rcas to the amp correct?
right on the back of the hu there is a wire for rr and lr speakers on wire of each goes to each of those and the other wire of each rca goes to the common ground also on the back of the hu

I just went through this. There are 2 wires for each plug for the female rca's. A signal wire and a ground wire, per plug. One of the wires gets spliced into the RR speaker wire on the back of the HU, and the other to the common ground. Same for the other plug.. One for signal that goes to LR wire on the HU, and the other to the common ground. Just study the wiring diagram on the HU for a minute till you know exactly what wire is which so you are splicing into your cd changer wire er some ****.
