Default suspension

ok so after searching I still have some questions. I got new rims a while ago now i'm driving a quattro 4X4! I want it lower! what do I need and in what order? how much lower can I get with just shocks? shocks and springs? shocks, springs and coilovers? any idea of what I should plan on spending? which company makes high quality stuff relatively cheap? any advice is appreciated!

Go with coilovers, then you can adjust to whatever height you like.

Koni's are good, there are lots out there for this car.

Unfortunately, coilovers aren't the cheapest way to go, just the best way to go. Your looking at around a thousand or so plus installation and an alignment.

You can do coilovers, or you can do shocks and springs. Coilovers offer more flexibility as far as the ride height is concerned.

ECStuning.com has a few sets, here is another link for ya also.

Find a local speed shop that specializes in euro cars, they probably deal and install them. Where are you located?

Depends if thats as low as you wanna go. I'm sure that will be enough, but thats the beauty of having coilovers...you can adjust them. And no you dont need to change your sway bars.

so i was looking at the ecstuning page and there's a kit that you can put on aftermarket bilstein shocks and springs for $270 then they sell the springs for like $700? should I buy those seperate or just get the kit for like 12 hundo?

check it out...

http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...ory=Suspension

can i get away with just springs to lower my ride 2 inches for the time being then buy coilovers later or am I just really confused?

thanks for all the help I'm tired of rolling in a monster truck... haha
