Im get on the highway like i do everyday going to school, as i look in my mirror to merge into the fast lane i see a silver lancer evo 8. I let him pass me before i get in back of him. Once in the fast lane behind him, he puts it to the floor, as do I. He is doing about 125ish mph im about 120. As the highway takes a bend, to he right there are 4 state trooper cars. Two cops run across the highway and points at the evo and I. (when i saw the cops i slowed down to about 80, the lancer didnt) So the bend kept going to where the cops were out o sight. I got back on the gas to catch back up to the evo. 30 Seconds down the hgihway was an exit. We both take the off ramp at 60ish. Slow down then i took a right and he banged a left. Cops never got us. Believe it or not. It was such a rush, something out of gumball 3000. I dont know why i posted it, just felt like telling people.

How bad did the evo burn you?

evo was def fast, it didnt burn me as bad as i thought it would bc we were at high speeds and high rpms. if we were racing on a street like 0-60 he would burn me. the evo did have mods to it

what my dad and i do is. i give him about $2000 and he takes my money, put it with his and we buy a 3 story condo. Buy it, fix it up and sell it. Plus get paied monthly from the rent. Also im getting into home mortgaging (hook people up with a loan and make a profit off it) if u want to talk more seriously, hit my up.

mortgageing can be a tough bussiness. your profits/losses change dramatically with the economy.

tru but my dad has people lined up who needs loans so i think ill do fine, then when i do that ill help him with restoring homes, and finding new ones.

at work the other day some kid drove up in one, i finally got to c the MR up close. The BBS rims goes good with the brembo brake kit. The evos finally came out with 6 speed and it sounds nice. Personally i like my STI better (not by much). The evo i think look to long. I read alot of maginzes that campare and contrast the STI and the MR. They r, for the most part the same but they always give the upper hand to the evo. Im not taking anything awya from the evo MR at all its a sick whip but personally i like the STI look better. But either way both cars r wet dreams

I think the STi looks like a pissed off bull from the front. I just dont like that bulky wing. Now with the MR im looking into its that dark gray, like the color found on the mustangs.

I road in my friends STi today. Dang does that thing pick up fast. The driver sucked at driving it but it still was flyin. I want to ride in an evo. If any of your guys live near holland michigan, pick me up in one.

Not necessarily.......do you know how much maintenance is on the s4? Unless you are a little rich boy, I seriously doubt you will like how much the s4 costs to maintain/upgrade......to get 400whp, it is about 13,000, whereas to get 400whp on an a4, it is more like 6,000.

if your talking about a 1.8T and getting 400 whp for 6000, i think you are a bit mistaken....let me know how if its possible...

just get an srt-4... my friends lightly bolted-on srt-4 kicks the shit out of lightly modded evos and STIs on a 30+ mph roll... anything below and he is just wasting rubber =)

and the srt-4 has a nice v8 tone if you slap in an exhaust.... its also cheap as hell.

give the American muscle a chance. :D

And on another note. The a4 can make 400awhp on a garrett gt3071r-wg turbo. ATP, I know, even with not so good tuning made it on a :
2700 dollar harware kit
800 dollar software/injector package
1000 fmic
Custom 3" exhaust.....500 dollars at the most.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is actually less than 6k....granted you can install everything. I didn't think anything was that big of a deal.

true your fast.... but you probably need to spend about 4k to control that power.... brakes alone are ~3k.
clutch upgrades, forged internals, suspension... running another 3-4k++

b6driver, are you talking about the a4? The stock internals have been proven at over 500awhp. And if you are talking about the srt engine, it is very similar. Both engines come from the factory with forged internals. Most turboed cars do.

i personally think the Evo's are crap. Ugly & reminds me too much of a POS focus or kia. The STI looks so much beefier & sporty... Now also take into consideration i live in canada so Evo's aren't allowed up here haha so my opinion is somewaht bias.

I'd take an S4 over 95% of the cars on the road :)

I just missed out on a magic deal for a 2000 S4 the other week. i slapped my self so hard. Even stock they put up a sick fight against really tough cars, modded, they'll give you whiplash accelerating from 60mph.. haha.

BTW Quattrosedan, you got any proof the A4 engines can handle that kinda power, not only the engine but the tranmission and AWD system aswell.. just for the record are we talking about a B5 A4 or a B6?

The general understanding is that 1.8ts are only good for 350WHP on the stock internals!.... and 350WHP is in the danger zone...

I also want to make 400 AWHP and I plan to replace rods and go bigger than 3071. Have you seen a 3071 make 400 AWHP on a 1.8t?

Yes, many people have done it, just search the net. When we went to dyno our cars at central florida turbo, a guy was working on his project a4 with custom tune on a 3071r and he had already made 390whp on like 21psi, and he hadn't even perfected the tune yet. I know atpturbo.com has a dyno of their b6 making like 426whp on stock internals, u just have to find it. And donsupreme, depending on which engine you have, the 1.8's handle 350whp all day long. The aeb's are the strongest bc they have the thickest rods of the others, and that is what I have been talking about. I dont have any experience with the atw, or the awm.
