Just wondering if any members are living in the great state of Oregon.

I live in Bend, which for those of you that dont know where that is, I am at the base of Mt. Bachelor. Very beautiful little city of about 75k, and snows like a banchee :D

Anyone else live in the state?

Great state i don't think so, big yes. I have lived in Beaverton for 5 years and now i live in Boston, Mass.
I was in Bend and Sun River a couple times and i did like it. Big open spaces other than that is a backward state with a very red neck and uncultered main population. There are big exceptions to this as you might now.
I was in the Stang and Bmw foruns with another nick and now i'm here in the Audi.
I have a A6 2.7T and a Bmw 740I.

Boy how accusatory of you...

How about you look at it from their prospective, that folks from back east are pompous asses.

Come on it it is a car forum leave the personal hatred for people who make up their own minds about how to live their life on your "i hate everyone but me forum"...

Lived in Beaverton for 13 years and two years in Medford.
3.5 years now in Seattle.

OK now this is a total trip.. I have lived in all the oregon cities stated here except The Dalles. I have lived in a lot of other places, and as for our eastern friend. You obviously are stuck on big cities. I live in Bend area now and have been since 1981 for the most part. I guess I am not so suprised to see so many people here from Bend because of how many audi's there are here.. it is kinda crazy.. I have an old 87 5000cs quattro and my fiance has an 86 and we love them.. We are poor but we still love them.. I guess we probably wouldn't own them if I wasn't a mechanic.. do alot of labor for these sweethearts, but they are 20 years old.. we are stuck on them.. however the new dodge challenger sure looks nice.. but again we are poor :P

Wow...okay...honestly...I just found the location lists...and I can't believe how many of you are in Oregon!

I currently live in Yamhill...just moved there from Newberg! I work in Portland...well...okay...Lake Oswego area...just off of the Carmen Drive exit on I5!!!

What a small world...seriously!!! We should get a group together for a drink...um...or something that could also include those who are not legal to drink...sorry! :D

It would be nice to see everyone's babies up close and personal like!! Maybe a AForum BBQ!?

-LT [sm=devilangel.gif]

PS: Just moved here about a year ago...lived my whole life in DC area...east coasters (including myself before I learned there was another way) are assholes...seriously...stuck-up...down right mean son's of bitches!!! (I am still a bit of a snob...but that is what landed me my beautiful Audi...so I can't complain totally).

I'm in Portland. I'm currently looking for a Audi. Here's my short list:

TT 225 Roadster
A6 2.7T Sport
B5 S4
B6 A4

I'm looking to spend from $17K - $25K, and I've found examples of each of these within that range. I don't mind a little higher mileage (60-80K), as I really don't drive that much. I also wouldn't mind finding something that already has some modifications. Anyone know of one for sale?

Hi Derek,

We have a cherry '01 S4, 6spd, with only 41k on the clock. It's completely stock. Black exterior with black/grey-tan alcantara inserts, sport aluminum interior, sport aluminum mirrors. The only mod is tinted windows.

We're asking $25,500 due to it's condition and low miles.

LMK if you're interested; jeremy@matrixintegrated.cc

Hey guys, I live in Tualatin and drive a 99 A6. It's good to see so many from the Portland area. I actually used to live in Medford and it was amazing how few Audis were down there (kind of nice being one of the only ones though).

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Audi mechanic anywhere near the Portland area? I need to replace my front driver side CV boot, not a huge task, but I'd like to give my car over to someone who knows what they're doing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks AK.

Jeremey(great name, BTW) :),

We'd be happy to help. If you want to shoot me an email, I can send you a quote.
We're just up I-5 from you at exit 299A...not far at all. Both of our techs are ex-factory Audi techs (one is a master Mercedes tech as well). We'd love the opportunity to help!

The GIAC program for your '98 is $400 and $90 labor. Gains are 45bhp and 55btq--higher gains if you have a full turbo-back or cat-back exhaust, etc;

http://www.giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=54

Besides a great power increase, there is less turbo lag since boost is brought in sooner, better MPG when using cruise control on the freeway, much crisper throttle response, etc.

PS--Power increases for 2.7T's are 80bhp/85btq.
