Hi All,

my first post and as this looks like a decent audi forum where people actually reply to post I hope its a good one.

Im looking for some instruction on fitting a new air con belt to my A6 Saloon 1998, I know where the belt is located but am not sure what the procedure is to fit a new one, ie do I have to remobve the radiator etc? is there and easy way to get the belt onto the pulley without removing the pulley?

thanks for that, but is that not for the v6? my belt on the air con compressor is seperate to the timing and PAS belt?

the data is for your car 1998/age/2.8 v6, it says it has a serpentine belt.

edit so yours is the 1.8T ??? ill post pic shortly

1.9 tdi turbo diesel is the same set up

 

the tensioner has a bolt on it just push it with a spanner to release the belt ( a lot of pressure there though ) so be careful,
edit: spring loaded is the correct term
