Ok so i was on the highway doing about 50 i pushed the gas all the way till the button clicked RPM ram from 3,000 to 5,000 to 7,000 red. The transmision never chenged the gear till i let the gas go and pressed it again this time with not button?? I have a 2000 A4 Turbo ??
Is it normal for the turbocheger to get red hot?? i usualy see that night time ??

 

Mine does, at night time if I drive hard, and head home, I will pop the hood and see a red hot turbo.
