re: first question............ first of all, you're supposed to get your car servied every 5000 MILES!!!!!!!!!!! if the car say 11,563, you probably didn't take it in for svc at 10,000, although the free maintenance program from Audi doesn't cover the 10,000 svc, you either need to bring it to an Audi mechanic you trust to do the oil and filter change, or you can bring it to the dealer and pay out of pocket for it, but final answer, take it in for svc for the 10,000 miles if you haven't already, now, to turn it off, you're supposed to pull on the lil *** instead of pushing it, pushing will reset your miles on the meter, pulling it for i like 4-5 seconds will turn off your svc light.
as for your second question, look it up in your handbook..........

I would check the manual. I had the same prob with my A4 with the svc light going off at 10000, but I think its every 10000 after that first 5000 svc., so at least for the A4 its 5000 15000 25000 etc.
We must be talking about a different service. 5000 mi is an awfully short amount of time to be taking you car in for service. You'll be going in two or three times a year. I know our lame service dept here couldn't handle that. lol.
During the warranty period, the A3 requires "service" at 5K, 15K, 25K, 35K and 45K miles. That what's included under the warranty / service plan. That said, with the 2.0T, oil changes at every 5K is definitely a good idea, especially if chipped. So the oil changes at 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, etc. are not covered.
