Ofet done his TB job done recently. He bought the TB set of off ebay. He could give us the user name so you can find the parts cheaper price. Also Ofek, how much did you pay for you TB job ? it was something $300 of labor I believe.

Anyway, I've the timing belt job done a month ago in a mechanic on E 5th Ave. He changed everything on the front motor and did couple more things (a few flushes and replacements etc.) for $300. Place name is Haydar's. I'd definitely recommend them, it's good place to go. I can give the full address in case of need.

There is a tint shop between Hendersen Rd. & Kenny Dr. I could not remember the name of it but it's one of the best. It's little pricey tho.

There are many tint shops on Morse Rd. and East Broad street.

I live in Bucyrus im about an hour away from Columbus, i actually just bought my 2001 audi A4 1.8t this week. Ill have it back from the Byers Audi dealership in a couple days cause i had the sludge issue problem 20 mins after i left an akron dealership i bought it at. Costin my 2800 bucks but oh well, i dont know of any place else so i had to drop the cash and get it fixed. I think K04 with pc16/j31 is the best option for you.

btw: it is not just for audis, it is a local group of people..

Merhaba Erhan. Your car looks nice. You should post the picture and what you want for your car in A4 section, so more people can help you.
There is not much room for modding on V6. What you can do is, you can get airfilter+catback+chip or supercharger
or do some visual stuff such as one piece headlight, rs4 grill, rs4 bumper and such...

Hey guys. I have been on here a while. I stated with a 2001 A4 2.8Q, then swithced to a 2001 A6 2.7T and just got a 2001 S4. I will have pics up in the next couple of days. This car has GIAC chip. RS4 clutch and a cold air intake that was put on at Auto Assets. I am considerning making the suspensiona bit stiffer and getting different wheels. Windows are being tinted next week. Hope all of us can meet up soon. I will change my signature and pics soon too.

Are you asking if M'ville is within an hour drive from Dayton? If so, I guess it depends where in Dayton you are. MapQuest says it's ~65 miles or 1hr 18min...
But then again, you have a TT. You should be able to cover 65miles in well under an hour! :D

It would be great to maybe find some time to get some people together for some photos.. There are many scenic places around where we could maybe get some good photos. I know there are old closed Prisons around where they are out in the countryand might make nice backdrops, there are plenty of old country roads and parks where photo ops would be good. Even better if we could get someone to take the pics for us.. and then just provide them to us on a CD or something. I might even know someone who can do this cheap... (Like take a slew of shots and put them on CD and send them to us for small fee $10-20 a car...Dunno for sure would have to talk with him)... Would make for a nice Saturday trip or something.

I will get the cincy crew to try and come as well. Just PM me when you all wanna do it!

My favorite event is the Vintage Gran Prix (Jun 29~Jul 1). Awesome cars, beautiful facility, and cheap!!!
This year they will also have the Acura Sports Car Challenge (IMSA, Le Mans GTO's, GTU's) and the Honda 200 (Indy Car) on the same weekend: Jul 20~22. Considering what it takes to get into the Indy 500, this is a deal at twice the price!

i'll be at mid ohio for the porsche club race with my dad this weekend. you guys should go up. i think you get in for free since it's a club race and then you just check out the cars and watch some track action.

also, i will definitely be at mid ohio for alms and indy cars. it will be awesome! i think tickets are $65 for the whole weekend, which is a great deal.

by the way, you can find some really cheap tickets for the indy 500 on ebay if you really want to go.

I just bought a 2001 Audi A4 it would be great if i was added i live in westerville.

Also I'm looking to do any perventative maintance i can at this point its a 1.8T Auto 86,*** miles (and I got an auto for many of reasons) I have already taken care of the tie rods, the flex pipe, my next is the my belts and water pump (i found someone to take care of my Belts, water pump, and oil change and he's also going to check over everything on the car for around $545 is that a good price for Cbus?

I have entered the autocross event for Sunday may 27 at Cooper stadium in Columbus ohio.
Arif said he will probably go as well.

They take walk-in registrations from 7:00am to 8:30 am Sunday morn. Its 35 at the door.
You can also register online until thursday at 6pm.
Its an all day event, it looks like on the norm you get 5 runs around the track.

I have entered the D class, Street prepared.. If you are chipped, that is where you will need to enter. Arif is going to have to do Steet modified or higher, because of his big turbo.

Hey everyone, been around a long while, just not here, there are a few audis over on OhioVW and I know of a few that hang out on audizine and audiworld.

Blacklick out here, nothing special on my car, just a boost gauge and a kamei grill. Its my daily driver and paid off, so I'm just trying to keep it on the road :-D

I'm th red A3 with dark tint.

De-badged Silver B5 A4 with kamei grille, everything else is stock (As stated before, it's more of a daily driver, all of my mods have been repairs: 2 timing belts, a set of control arms, 3 sets of brakes, tires, etc...)

One of the joys of owning a car with 130k+ miles on it :-D

i'll be there all day saturday and sunday. i might try to get dropped off at the track so i don't have to worry about driving home after a day of drinking and watching cars. but, if not, my a4 will be parked somewhere in the infield. there's a large contingent of audi folks that should be there.

i usually hang out in the esses as well, i'll be sporting my r10 diesel shirt!

I was there both days, what a great weekend! To bad the audis did not win, but the porsches seem to do really well at mid-ohio, the course favors them.
On the first lap of the lemans race, the audi and acura wrecked right in front of me! Coming down the hill out of the esses! I was pissed, lap 1, audi off the track! Excitement at its finest!

I am planning on going Friday Aug 24th, the next friday that NT has open runs on.

Friday Sept 21, National Trails Raceway

I am going for sure, and Onepoint8tee. I also have two friends with a firebird and camaro that want to go, as well as a buddy with a motorcycle.
This will be a great chance to meet some other Audi folks if some of you can make it!
The temps should be turbo friendly, and the cost is only $10.

We will meet at the Lennox Theatre on Kinnear Rd, about 4:45, and head out to the track.

C'mon Columbus Audi people, we'd love to meet some more of you!

Finally a response lol. How long have you had yours tinted and what percent did you get? Are the cops pretty cool around here about letting illegal tint slide?

here the tint I run. I'm not actually sure what % it is (if anyone wants to help me on that one, that would be great). I haven't gotten in trouble for it yet, but thats down in Cinci, not in Columbus.


Ohio's tint laws are 50% max up front and whatever you want on the back.


Whatever tint I have, it gets pretty dark at night.

I have 20% all around and have not had a problem yet with tint

I can't believe I've been lurkin for so long, and I had to be directed to this post by aRif. LOL. Glad there are so many people in CBUS with audi's that are organized. I have had a hard time since moving from Indy getting back into a car crowd. I'll keep an eye out here for any meetings, but I offer my garage up to the car gods... I'm in the New Albany/Gahanna area (behind Home Depot on Hamilton) and have a heated garage and a full tool chest with whatever you'd need to get most jobs done.

This is my first Audi, but it's not my first rodeo. It's also not my daily driver, so I've already torn into it pretty deep cleaning up 5 previous owners of stereo, ghetto wiring, and ignored mechanical issues. I have alot of forced induction experience, and was a heavy hitter in the Grand Prix GTP world a while back. 12.09 on stock eaton m90 blower.

anyway... I'm rambling... I'll be around. Look me up if anyone's wranching and needs help or space to work.

I'm going to be undertaking a coilover install in the spring which I'm pretty sure is a little beyond my skill level. I'd love to have some help and also somewhere to work other than the parking lot behind my building. I'd offer up some money or something.

Hows it going all you columbus AF'ers. Ive got an 01.5 s4 and one of my turbos went bad. so now i get to do the K04's. All i have to wait for is my tax returns. Anyone interested in helping. I would say i am advanced in working on cars. I dont need the help but if anyone wants to hang out and see how to replace their turbos without pulling the motor / tranny / and subfame hit me up. Then when its done we need to do a cruisefest with all the columbus audi owners. Oh yeah i almost forget, pics and a write up on how to do the turbo swap will be coming soon after she is up and running again. I cant wait. one more thing. Anyone know of an audi tunner and awd dyno is around here?

On a similar note... if anyone needs a garage and/or tools to get work done, you're always welcome to use my home. I'm in the Hamilton & Morse rd area of Columbus. about 5 minutes from Easton.I was really active in the GTP scene, and did some S/C swaps for free for members (beer actually), organized a few meets, and did the same for the Titan community for a while.

If anyone wants to organize a meet, or needs space in a well lit clean workspace. let me know and it's yours. Anyway I can help. If you give me a day or 2 notice, it's heated as well.

Hey Cab, I don't know if you saw in the a4 forums, but I'm back to the 12v club. I just finished the control arms and I started putting the 12v BACK in. This one will be my dd it looks like... at least that's the plan for now!

OK, so I'll have my car running by this evening around 7ish... I only have some hoses and fuel lines left to connect, an alignment is scheduled for right after, a quick wash, and I should be back on the road. If anyone's up for anything, let me know. ^^ how do like your suspension set up. I'm looking to finally get mine done this summer and I'm debating between a Spring/shock combo or getting Statis SS coilovers.



and welcome back, I can't wait till next year when my baby is up here with me.

With the new control arms it rides only slightly more aggressive than stock, and has no bounce or noise. I've heard great things about the stasis coilovers, but had the noisiest, most obnoxiously rough coilovers on a previous car AND I never adjusted them once after I got the ride set, so I went with the springs/shocks on this car. I didn't think I'd get the drop out of it that I did, because I opted for the sport, not the race, but the addition of the bilsteins brought it down to race height almost, but kept the ride quality. If you do springs, make sure you do shocks as well.

If you want to rock my car for a spin first hand to get a feel, you're more than welcome to before making a decision. The stasis are tuned to the a4, so they're going to be great regardless. they should be better than the setup I'm running.

Hey Audi_noob, I think you PMed me about garage use, but my Blackberry deleted the mail on it when I was cleaning out days of junk mail from my phone... All I saw was your name and the PM title. Hit me back up, it's no problem for you to use it if you need it, just let me know what day(s)/weekend(s) and it's yours. Only thing I have scheduled is a leaky valve cover repair.

If you need any specific tools, let me know. I have access to more through friends, and can get any specific thing you need. I have several full sets of sockets, wrenches... the usual. Up to 3/4" drive if you need it...

On that note: If anyone wants to do a mini meet, let me know. Maybe Noob should post his dates here and we can try to get something together? nothing to bring a group of car guys together like some honest wrenchin'...

So on my 2.7T tip (even with a GIAC tip chip) I have problem whenever I put it in tiptronic mode and accelerate; it will shifts immediately from 1st to 2nd gear. I know if you have a vag-com and recode it this problem will be solved. My question is does anybody around the Columbus area has the tool and knowledge to help me out. Thanks.

I think (meaning possibly but more probably not) that onepoint8tee has a VAG-Com but he's really not on here that often any more. Kinda sad, I liked him.
