N8sA4 09-30-2006, 12:13 PM New C-Bus Audi owner. Just bought my 96 A4 2.8 quattro (sorry you guys I needed the reliability of the 2.8). It's not up to my standard yet (need coilovers and rims so it won't look like an off road vehicle.) And suggestions for good mechanic/speed shop here in town? Maybe one that would let me bring in my own parts? I'm up in Polaris by the way.

hahaha there you go, another Turk :D welcome!
Wow! We are already 8 people in/around Columbus....
midohioguy 10-02-2006, 07:44 PM anyone have a shop other than auto assets that they frequent?
I have one place I always go. He did my TB and all kind of stuff. I always go there for my oilchange too (I buy my oil)
He is on South side of columbus close to High & 270
midohioguy 10-02-2006, 10:45 PM nice. you have a name and number? how much did they charge for timing belt? i really need to get mine done, but am dreading it.
I lost his card. I will go there for my friends van on friday. I can ask him how much will he charge to you.
He does not look prof. tho. that's why I did not talk about him. He is a south american guy but he does his job quick and nice. I cannot compare with him like auto assest or motorkars.
I will deff get his number to you on friday and how much he will charge for you tb.
BTW: I know he is a busy guy but if you can convince onepoint8tee to help you on TB job, we can do all three of us in my garage (I will have garage next month cause I'm moving)
I have never done TB so no idea about it but willing to help tho.
midohioguy 10-03-2006, 02:14 AM oh man, that would be awesome. i've never done one either, but would definitely be willing to help out however possible and purchase booze, food for everyone. sounds like a good time.
1 ate T 10-03-2006, 11:03 AM TB is a purty easy job.
are you getting a waterpump?
Ofet done his TB job done recently. He bought the TB set of off ebay. He could give us the user name so you can find the parts cheaper price. Also Ofek, how much did you pay for you TB job ? it was something $300 of labor I believe.
midohioguy 10-03-2006, 06:28 PM yes, probably water pump too. anything else need to be changed w/ the tb? i did new plugs and belts a couple months ago.
acetrebo 10-04-2006, 01:51 AM I can tell you a few good places to buy parts around, a lot of us diy just about everything.
1 ate T 10-04-2006, 06:40 PM when we doin this guys? arif?
I will have my new house end of this month. we can do some kind of GTG maybe next month.
midohioguy 10-05-2006, 07:15 PM cool. next month should work pretty well for me.
anyone else have hail damage? my poor car has 1/2 inch divots all over the hood, roof and trunk lid. sucks! i have to go get an estimate monday evening and then we'll see where it goes after that. looks awful though!
Thanks God no damage at all. It was tough night tho.
1 ate T 10-06-2006, 01:29 PM yea no damage thank god..
its gettin cold! NEXT MONTH!?!?
yes it is gettin cold so we should meet up fast. so what do you think guys any date or place ? maybe GTG and drink some coffee then pic shoots...
we can meet up at easton parking lot. take some pics then easton cruise then coffee break?
1 ate T 10-09-2006, 11:28 AM if you guys dont mind me squeakin everywhere! [:@]
but yea that sounds good.. round em up and give me a call arif ;)
midohioguy 10-10-2006, 12:25 AM sounds good to me too. my car looks like crap right now due to the hail damage though! it's pretty extensive, to the tune of $5,300 to fix.
Sorry Guys, I read Arif's message a bit late. Anyway, I've the timing belt job done a month ago in a mechanic on E 5th Ave. He changed everything on the front motor and did couple more things (a few flushes and replacements etc.) for $300. Place name is Haydar's. I'd definitely recommend them, it's good place to go. I can give the full address in case of need.

Welcome!
There is a tint shop between Hendersen Rd. & Kenny Dr. I could not remember the name of it but it's one of the best. It's little pricey tho.
There are many tint shops on Morse Rd. and East Broad street.
jinyya05 10-11-2006, 05:42 PM is the Nasti, OH ok? or too far away?

midohioguy 10-30-2006, 08:00 PM i found a t-belt kit on ebay for $199, not too bad and it has the water pump and tensioner too. do you think we could still try to tackle this sometime? i can lend my assistance, though i've never done before. i'd be willing to throw somebody some cash for their time plus beer and pizza. let me know what you guys are thinking.

Great! You are in the list!
Philthykins 11-04-2006, 07:22 PM I live in Bucyrus im about an hour away from Columbus, i actually just bought my 2001 audi A4 1.8t this week. Ill have it back from the Byers Audi dealership in a couple days cause i had the sludge issue problem 20 mins after i left an akron dealership i bought it at. Costin my 2800 bucks but oh well, i dont know of any place else so i had to drop the cash and get it fixed. But let me know if ya want me to show up for the pics, i didnt know if i had to live in columbus or just close to columbus. Let me know, thanks!
midohioguy 11-04-2006, 09:45 PM ah, yeah, bucyrus is up around my old stomping grounds in mansfield. how was the service at byers? i haven't heard much about them, most people i know go to MAG or auto assets. i bet it's tough to find a shop up there that can do some good work on audis.
we don't really have anything set for pics right now. today was a possibility, but i guess it kind of fell through.
Philthykins 11-05-2006, 04:59 AM I dont know about the service yet, i get my car back on tuesday, it sucked, ive only drove it for an hour commin back from akron last tuesday. Its been at Byers since then. Then ill finally be able to enjoy it. I cant wait to get it back.
Now on to the good stuff, i want to do the GTRS Eliminator turbo upgrade later on but is there any performance upgrades you suggest to do first and the cheapest. I heard chipping is the first thing i should do but i dont know which one i need that i wont have to change out when i get the new turbo. Btw I have a 2001 A4 1.8t Auto. Ill post a picture when i get it back from Byers. Thanks guys.

I think K04 with pc16/j31 is the best option for you.
I think we will have local meeting + photo shoot on friday night. maybe around 11:00 pm @ easton or something.... if you're interestin' , let me know.
btw: it is not just for audis, it is a local group of people..
Philthykins 11-09-2006, 07:24 AM id show up but i work 2nd shift and get off at 11pm. Also, my door trim pieces are fallin off so i need to get new ones before i even think about gettin beauty shots.
midohioguy 11-10-2006, 03:46 PM man, i need new trim pieces too. such a pain in the ass! it looks awful when it comes off. plus, i still have hail damage that needs repaired.
i just got my new yokohoma tires on today, they look and feel really nice!
this is part of my maintenance that i've been neglecting too long. i still need brakes, timing belt and a couple minor repairs. in addition to wanting to chip and add a borla. it never ends.
anyways, here is the brake kit i'm interested in:
http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=1&PEI=2&PP=a4_18t_brakes.cfm&PPT=Brakes&IL=a4combo
what do you guys think? i'm not much of a do it yourselfer. do you think i could install on my own or would somebody be willing to help me out possibly? let me know. i'll probably be purchasing it in the next couple weeks.

Merhaba Erhan. Your car looks nice. You should post the picture and what you want for your car in A4 section, so more people can help you.
There is not much room for modding on V6. What you can do is, you can get airfilter+catback+chip or supercharger
or do some visual stuff such as one piece headlight, rs4 grill, rs4 bumper and such...

Are you asking if M'ville is within an hour drive from Dayton? If so, I guess it depends where in Dayton you are. MapQuest says it's ~65 miles or 1hr 18min...
But then again, you have a TT. You should be able to cover 65miles in well under an hour! :D
YES! Weather is great and time to meet! Move your lazy butts and schedule a nice Audi CBus meeting.....
Who's in????
CAB509 05-06-2007, 03:38 PM I'll be in Columbus starting in September.
qttrcoupe 05-07-2007, 12:44 PM It would be great to maybe find some time to get some people together for some photos.. There are many scenic places around where we could maybe get some good photos. I know there are old closed Prisons around where they are out in the countryand might make nice backdrops, there are plenty of old country roads and parks where photo ops would be good. Even better if we could get someone to take the pics for us.. and then just provide them to us on a CD or something. I might even know someone who can do this cheap... (Like take a slew of shots and put them on CD and send them to us for small fee $10-20 a car...Dunno for sure would have to talk with him)... Would make for a nice Saturday trip or something.
myaudi98 05-07-2007, 04:07 PM I will get the cincy crew to try and come as well. Just PM me when you all wanna do it!
LM in OH 05-07-2007, 11:46 PM Can I come even if I haven't taken delivery on my car yet? :DI'm trying to make a mod list!
A3guy 05-11-2007, 11:29 PM Anyone on this forum/thread a member of the "Audi Car Club"?
I saw over on the Mid-Ohio Sport Car Course http://www.midohio.com/ that this "club" is having an event at Mid-Ohio July 6~8...THAT would be an awesome venue for a G2G! :D
And if anyone here has never been to Mid-Ohio...ya gotta go!
My favorite event is the Vintage Gran Prix (Jun 29~Jul 1). Awesome cars, beautiful facility, and cheap!!!
This year they will also have the Acura Sports Car Challenge (IMSA, Le Mans GTO's, GTU's) and the Honda 200 (Indy Car) on the same weekend: Jul 20~22. Considering what it takes to get into the Indy 500, this is a deal at twice the price!
Good times...
midohioguy 05-16-2007, 09:51 PM i'll be at mid ohio for the porsche club race with my dad this weekend. you guys should go up. i think you get in for free since it's a club race and then you just check out the cars and watch some track action.
also, i will definitely be at mid ohio for alms and indy cars. it will be awesome! i think tickets are $65 for the whole weekend, which is a great deal.
by the way, you can find some really cheap tickets for the indy 500 on ebay if you really want to go.
aaroncoffman 05-22-2007, 10:12 AM I just bought a 2001 Audi A4 it would be great if i was added i live in westerville.
Also I'm looking to do any perventative maintance i can at this point its a 1.8T Auto 86,*** miles (and I got an auto for many of reasons) I have already taken care of the tie rods, the flex pipe, my next is the my belts and water pump (i found someone to take care of my Belts, water pump, and oil change and he's also going to check over everything on the car for around $545 is that a good price for Cbus?
Quattro_1.8t 05-23-2007, 02:53 PM Im new to the forums but I'm on the other audi forums.com and have had my A4 a few months. You guys may have seen me driving around town. In late June Im moving over off bethel road to my apartment. I'm up for a meet whenever.
acetrebo 05-23-2007, 05:49 PM If anyone is interested.....
I have entered the autocross event for Sunday may 27 at Cooper stadium in Columbus ohio.
Arif said he will probably go as well.
They take walk-in registrations from 7:00am to 8:30 am Sunday morn. Its 35 at the door.
You can also register online until thursday at 6pm.
Its an all day event, it looks like on the norm you get 5 runs around the track.
If you are interested, here is where you can find all the info, rules, schedule, etc.
http://www.ovr-scca.org/_autocross/autocrosshome.asp
It would be sweet to see a bunch of audis show up!
I have entered the D class, Street prepared.. If you are chipped, that is where you will need to enter. Arif is going to have to do Steet modified or higher, because of his big turbo.
They can help you with all this if you do the walk in.
Maybe we'll see you there, if not, there are a bunch more around columbus through the summer and into the fall.
Hopefully I'll dynod my car this friday and if i have time then I'll go to 1/4 mile.
I really wanna experience autox because i heard GOOD things about it. it's a lot of fun. I'm just little worried that i dont wanna look stupid that's all because i'm an amatour big time! :D
So anybody comin SUNDAY!
COME ON GUYS! It will be fun!
acetrebo 05-25-2007, 01:29 PM FYI,
Arif and I are also going to National trails drag strip at 5pm tonight.
any else who wants to go, please show up.
Its only $10 to run. If you get there right at 5, it will not be crowded.
Just look for a green b5, and a blue b5.
B5luver 05-29-2007, 12:25 AM I'm 1.5hrs north from Columbus... Akron.

http://www.audiforums.com/m_551337/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#551362
It would be so awesome If we could get like 4-5 a4's from around here to get in one of these events, and represent the audi properly!
The upcoming events for this season....

I am definitely in for the drag strip on June 8. Hope some of you other locals can make it!
Where are all the ohio people ?
qttrcoupe 05-30-2007, 04:01 PM Well nothing major... I mean the car runs fine... I would like to do a TB job on my A6 and since they were nearby where I work in Worthington.. they seem like a starting point... thats all.. I am unsure on the last tbelt job and I am at 122k now so I am staring to think it needs done
qttrcoupe (http://www.audiforums.com/showProfile.asp?memid=33402); r u coming to GTG ?
qttrcoupe 05-31-2007, 10:04 AM aRIf... I love to.. being in Zanesville (home anyway) that is close... but I pick up my daughter from my ex at 6:00and not that she doesn't like cars... don't get me wrong.. I am probably turning my little 6 year old into a car nut... butI need to spend some time with her because she is going away for a week and a half staring the June 10th with my ex.. so I will have to pass this one up...otherwise it probably would not have beenbad.. especially because I think if all goes well with mywork upgrades this weekend I am taking Friday the 8thoff.. but have fun guys... maybe more than two will show up... I will keep it in mindshould things change though...
myaudi98 05-31-2007, 01:22 PM i would go but i work till 6 and am in cincy. by time i got there it would be too late. sorry.

CAB509 06-03-2007, 12:31 AM I'm busy that day or I would come up from cinci just to drag the 12v:D I guess I'll just have to stop down by edgewater sometime
acetrebo 06-04-2007, 03:55 PM Add onepoint8tee to the list.
He said he cleared it with the wife, now if the weather will just hold for us.
yeah I called it Miracle!
acetrebo 06-04-2007, 04:09 PM Lol, now that he has clearance, it'll probably storm all evening long!
acetrebo 06-08-2007, 12:03 PM Jeez, I had to jinx us.
Arif, have you looked at the forecast? What do you think about tonight?
Jason said he's having trouble with his car, wants to go, but probably not going to drive his car.
Looks like no one else is planning to go besides us?
Anyway, the forcast at the moment is not looking so hot, they are calling for some t-storms right around the time we were palnning to go.
What do you think?

What about this for a potential GTG?
It's far enough out to plan around, some nice Detroit iron to look at, the pizza and wings are decent and the beer is cold! About 20 min up RT 33 from Dublin. Anyone?!

Anyone going to this?
Quattro_1.8t 06-18-2007, 03:46 AM I haven't heard of it but I might goto it.
midohioguy 07-01-2007, 05:00 PM alright everyone. mid ohio is only 3 weeks away. we need a good presence to make sure we encourage the audis on to victory over the porsches. should be a great time. who all is going?
A3guy 07-01-2007, 06:01 PM Sounds interesting...
I'd be up for the Saturday Acura Challenge.
acetrebo 07-02-2007, 12:32 PM I am going for sure,I go every year religiously (last year it was just the alms, no indy, but this year its both).
So, I will be there, and if i can get enough tickets, Im going to try to bring arif and onepoint8tee with me.
However, I will not be driving the audi, because my Expedition has a lot more room, as well as a DVD and killer sound system. Its a little better for race day!
A3guy 07-02-2007, 04:22 PM Do you have contacts for discount tickets ;)?!
ElDiablo 07-06-2007, 11:23 PM Anyone interested in a Columbus GTG?

Can't wait to see your subwoofer mod in action A3guy.
wholsea 07-11-2007, 10:51 AM Hey everyone, been around a long while, just not here, there are a few audis over on OhioVW and I know of a few that hang out on audizine and audiworld.
Blacklick out here, nothing special on my car, just a boost gauge and a kamei grill. Its my daily driver and paid off, so I'm just trying to keep it on the road :-D
ElDiablo 07-11-2007, 08:25 PM I'm in blacklick too. What does your car look like?
I'm th red A3 with dark tint.
wholsea 07-12-2007, 08:08 AM De-badged Silver B5 A4 with kamei grille, everything else is stock (As stated before, it's more of a daily driver, all of my mods have been repairs: 2 timing belts, a set of control arms, 3 sets of brakes, tires, etc...)
One of the joys of owning a car with 130k+ miles on it :-D
ElDiablo 07-12-2007, 08:38 PM Cool, I'll be on the look out for you. Are you going to the GTG?

We'll see, I have a wife and two kids, so my time is pretty taxed.
I used to go to a lot of GTGs in the columbus area, just haven't had the time in the last three years. Too much other stuff going on!
A3guy 07-13-2007, 03:11 PM So why not bring the family!
After the GTG/photoshoot,head up to the the Irish Fest...Good, wholesome family entertainment :)!

acetrebo 07-18-2007, 09:27 AM I'll be there Saturday and Sunday.

Quattro_1.8t 07-18-2007, 12:09 PM I may be up there this weekend. Is anyone going to this show?:

midohioguy 07-18-2007, 12:35 PM i'll be there all day saturday and sunday. i might try to get dropped off at the track so i don't have to worry about driving home after a day of drinking and watching cars. but, if not, my a4 will be parked somewhere in the infield. there's a large contingent of audi folks that should be there.
i usually hang out in the esses as well, i'll be sporting my r10 diesel shirt!
acetrebo 07-20-2007, 03:20 PM I'll be there sat and sun as well, backside of the esses.
At this point it looks like I will be taking the green audi. See my photo gal.
I'll look for the r10 shirt!
I thought they were not selling infield passes for this race, at least thats what a friend that always parks in the infield told me.
FTW!!!!!!! AUDI!!!!!!!!!!
wow.... It ws great, awesome... I got many pics and vids... R10 rulez... great sound except at idle
midohioguy 07-23-2007, 01:17 PM my dad has a season pass and loaned up his infield pass. we were parked with the audi group by that blue ford gt. i'll post some pics later today.

I was there both days, what a great weekend! To bad the audis did not win, but the porsches seem to do really well at mid-ohio, the course favors them.
On the first lap of the lemans race, the audi and acura wrecked right in front of me! Coming down the hill out of the esses! I was pissed, lap 1, audi off the track! Excitement at its finest!

Friday Sept 21, National Trails Raceway
I am going for sure, and Onepoint8tee. I also have two friends with a firebird and camaro that want to go, as well as a buddy with a motorcycle.
This will be a great chance to meet some other Audi folks if some of you can make it!
The temps should be turbo friendly, and the cost is only $10.
We will meet at the Lennox Theatre on Kinnear Rd, about 4:45, and head out to the track.
C'mon Columbus Audi people, we'd love to meet some more of you!

audi_n00b 10-19-2007, 08:40 PM Bump.
Quattro_1.8t 10-22-2007, 12:16 PM Mr. Tint does a great job
audi_n00b 10-22-2007, 07:45 PM Finally a response lol. How long have you had yours tinted and what percent did you get? Are the cops pretty cool around here about letting illegal tint slide?
CAB509 10-22-2007, 07:59 PM http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x148/cab509/CIMG0679.jpg
here the tint I run. I'm not actually sure what % it is (if anyone wants to help me on that one, that would be great). I haven't gotten in trouble for it yet, but thats down in Cinci, not in Columbus.
Ohio's tint laws are 50% max up front and whatever you want on the back.
Whatever tint I have, it gets pretty dark at night.
Quattro_1.8t 10-28-2007, 03:23 AM I have 20% all around and have not had a problem yet with tint
CAB509 11-12-2007, 01:08 PM OH!!

We can meet at Easton Mall (http://www.eastontowncenter.com/) grab some food, visit gameworks, take lots of pictures and videos.
CAB509 11-12-2007, 07:32 PM I'd be down for that sometime as long as I have my car around me. since living in Cincinnati and going to school in C-bus means my baby is back at home.

rsrbljan 11-29-2007, 03:12 PM I can't believe I've been lurkin for so long, and I had to be directed to this post by aRif. LOL. Glad there are so many people in CBUS with audi's that are organized. I have had a hard time since moving from Indy getting back into a car crowd. I'll keep an eye out here for any meetings, but I offer my garage up to the car gods... I'm in the New Albany/Gahanna area (behind Home Depot on Hamilton) and have a heated garage and a full tool chest with whatever you'd need to get most jobs done.
This is my first Audi, but it's not my first rodeo. It's also not my daily driver, so I've already torn into it pretty deep cleaning up 5 previous owners of stereo, ghetto wiring, and ignored mechanical issues. I have alot of forced induction experience, and was a heavy hitter in the Grand Prix GTP world a while back. 12.09 on stock eaton m90 blower.
anyway... I'm rambling... I'll be around. Look me up if anyone's wranching and needs help or space to work.

I'm going to be undertaking a coilover install in the spring which I'm pretty sure is a little beyond my skill level. I'd love to have some help and also somewhere to work other than the parking lot behind my building. I'd offer up some money or something.
If I don't move until spring, you may use my little garage. I have some tools also.
onebadS4 01-03-2008, 11:36 AM Hows it going all you columbus AF'ers. Ive got an 01.5 s4 and one of my turbos went bad. so now i get to do the K04's. All i have to wait for is my tax returns. Anyone interested in helping. I would say i am advanced in working on cars. I dont need the help but if anyone wants to hang out and see how to replace their turbos without pulling the motor / tranny / and subfame hit me up. Then when its done we need to do a cruisefest with all the columbus audi owners. Oh yeah i almost forget, pics and a write up on how to do the turbo swap will be coming soon after she is up and running again. I cant wait. one more thing. Anyone know of an audi tunner and awd dyno is around here?
rsrbljan 01-05-2008, 03:04 PM On a similar note... if anyone needs a garage and/or tools to get work done, you're always welcome to use my home. I'm in the Hamilton & Morse rd area of Columbus. about 5 minutes from Easton.I was really active in the GTP scene, and did some S/C swaps for free for members (beer actually), organized a few meets, and did the same for the Titan community for a while.
If anyone wants to organize a meet, or needs space in a well lit clean workspace. let me know and it's yours. Anyway I can help. If you give me a day or 2 notice, it's heated as well.

Y2gplaya69 01-07-2008, 12:29 AM I have been on this site since March of 2007, however I just joined. I am from Columbus, OH and I would love to be added on the Columbus Audi people list!
CAB509 01-07-2008, 12:32 AM ^^welcome
rsrbljan 01-08-2008, 12:39 AM Hey Cab, I don't know if you saw in the a4 forums, but I'm back to the 12v club. I just finished the control arms and I started putting the 12v BACK in. This one will be my dd it looks like... at least that's the plan for now!
seemed appropriate to let you know, given the 12v motto in your sig. [sm=smiley20.gif]

rsrbljan 01-09-2008, 10:25 AM OK, so I'll have my car running by this evening around 7ish... I only have some hoses and fuel lines left to connect, an alignment is scheduled for right after, a quick wash, and I should be back on the road. If anyone's up for anything, let me know. I'm a daily 12v a4 driver now. If anything's happenin', I'm game.

CAB509 01-10-2008, 12:02 AM ^^ how do like your suspension set up. I'm looking to finally get mine done this summer and I'm debating between a Spring/shock combo or getting Statis SS coilovers.
and welcome back, I can't wait till next year when my baby is up here with me.
rsrbljan 01-10-2008, 03:22 PM With the new control arms it rides only slightly more aggressive than stock, and has no bounce or noise. I've heard great things about the stasis coilovers, but had the noisiest, most obnoxiously rough coilovers on a previous car AND I never adjusted them once after I got the ride set, so I went with the springs/shocks on this car. I didn't think I'd get the drop out of it that I did, because I opted for the sport, not the race, but the addition of the bilsteins brought it down to race height almost, but kept the ride quality. If you do springs, make sure you do shocks as well.
If you want to rock my car for a spin first hand to get a feel, you're more than welcome to before making a decision. The stasis are tuned to the a4, so they're going to be great regardless. they should be better than the setup I'm running.

Scott Long 01-21-2008, 02:39 AM I'll be out that way tomorrow to drop my S4 off for a torque convertor replacement.
Check out the link in my sig and join my group I started for Dayton-Cinci-Columbus Audi owners. Hopefully we can set something up for this summer.
audi_n00b 01-24-2008, 07:01 PM So I think I'm going to get an in-dash nav system. I'm liking the pioneer something-or-other. I was just wondering if there are any good car audio places around Columbus? Oh man, and I still have to get my windows tinted too.
There are couple places on Morse Rd. I think it's around morse rd. and cleaveland ave.
CAB509 02-01-2008, 01:21 AM Hey C-bus, anyone know any silver S8's like the one in Ronin, that would be around W12th and Neil(on OSU campus, if ya don't know), cuz I saw one today, and it was tits.
audi_n00b 02-02-2008, 01:31 PM Thanks Arif, I'll drive out that way and check it out. And I'm definitely gonna keep an eye out for that S8 around campus!
rsrbljan 02-07-2008, 08:42 AM Hey Audi_noob, I think you PMed me about garage use, but my Blackberry deleted the mail on it when I was cleaning out days of junk mail from my phone... All I saw was your name and the PM title. Hit me back up, it's no problem for you to use it if you need it, just let me know what day(s)/weekend(s) and it's yours. Only thing I have scheduled is a leaky valve cover repair.
If you need any specific tools, let me know. I have access to more through friends, and can get any specific thing you need. I have several full sets of sockets, wrenches... the usual. Up to 3/4" drive if you need it...
On that note: If anyone wants to do a mini meet, let me know. Maybe Noob should post his dates here and we can try to get something together? nothing to bring a group of car guys together like some honest wrenchin'...
Y2gplaya69 02-07-2008, 05:37 PM So on my 2.7T tip (even with a GIAC tip chip) I have problem whenever I put it in tiptronic mode and accelerate; it will shifts immediately from 1st to 2nd gear. I know if you have a vag-com and recode it this problem will be solved. My question is does anybody around the Columbus area has the tool and knowledge to help me out. Thanks.
CAB509 02-07-2008, 06:43 PM I think (meaning possibly but more probably not) that onepoint8tee has a VAG-Com but he's really not on here that often any more. Kinda sad, I liked him.
I got Vag-Com. I can help you this weekend, if you want.
Just PM me.
by the way I have no idea how to fix than problem :)but we can check the codes by vag-com, if you have any.
Y2gplaya69 02-12-2008, 04:22 PM Hey I am sorry I couldn't made it last weekend, but I am free this saturday if that is okay with you. I PMed my cell to you so you can contact me. Thanks again!
audi_n00b 02-17-2008, 08:18 PM rsrbljan, sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I'm doing a coilover install but probably when the weather warms up and I have some money to actually buy the coilovers. But I'd love to do a weekend meet or something. What weekends would you guys be available?
