Well, that is personal preference. I personally don't even like the look of the S4. It's just a souped up A-4 Blocky Box with
wheels. The TT looks like a true sportscar and has exceptional handling as well. If all out performance is more important
to you than style then sure go for the S4. Otherwise go for the TT.
I know what I would choose. No contest!!!

Good advice CL ;)

Don't want to step on anybody's toes. Everyone has different taste and to be honest I have looked at an S4 once or twice but
I just fell in love with the looks of the TT. Of course if I had the cash I would have and S4 and the TT Side by side in my garage :)

But I didn't win the lottery last night so I will just have to be happy with what I got. For now anyways....

yes i am not going to disagree actually I was pretty damm close to having a TT myself before i got my A4 I had givin the sales manager my down payment for this TT that had just come in and a saleman was driving it he askerd me if it bothered him if he had taken it home one more night cause all his stuff was in it I don't care myself so I said sure the next day I had seen my TT roll in on a flat bed with a broken timing belt so u get the picture haha I took that same down payment and put it on the A4

These timing belts are starting to worry me. [&:]
With 60k on the clock I may want to do some preventive maintanance.
Now do I buy the Bentley Manual and do it myself or have a professional do it.
I don't even want to know what a dealer is going to charge for installing that belt.
Part $32.95 Labor= $800.00 bucks....??

If I found an S4 with low miles for a good price, I would jump all over that. The TTs are more stylish, but the S4s give you the same driver comfort (if not more), with far greater performance. As afar as looks on an S4, yes they are the boxier A4 style look, but I have always dug that look. As far as I'm concerned, Audi came out looking good with that style when they introduced it. It looks wide and aggressive and stable. And since then, everyone has been all about copying it.

Now, TT with an S4 transplant under the hood.... sex.

the timing belt on the TT might be a little harder espically since the TT's are transverse mounted engines there isn't that much room to work with

My 2000 S4 is for sale. It has ecu/exhaust/suspension mods (est. 340 hp/400 tq.) and I think that you will find that it is a lot more car than a tt is for about the same money. The four door practicality and sleeper aspect is also impressive with the S4. Better yet, come down and take it for a test drive and find out for yourself.
