Hey everyone,


I've been doing alot of reading on the 00 - 06 Audi TT's.

Im finding alot of the same problems with all of the cars. Im assuming like most manufactures that AUDI will recall these items?

I'm concerned about a few things.


Timing belt :: I'm hearing horror stories...and that there is a class action lawsuit against audi for this.
Is there a recall?

Pixelation in our main display :: In my 7 series the screen lost pixels and they replaced them free of charge..except for labor...they even went above and replaced my radio and climate controll systems at the same time due to loss of pixels. (The did this for all the owners)


Whats Audi's deal? ...I'm starting to believe they dont have the best customer service ....


Am I thinking wrong?


Great car...but with the few minor yet major problems that are consistantly happening one would think they would own up to this and correct the issue.

What does a timing belt cost? ...maybe $30?

 

Well, the price of the timing belt isn't that much, but the tensioners and the labor of install bring the price up. I've got a local guy who's going to do mine, if it works out well and for a good price, I'll post his information up (34233 zip code).

 

From what I understand the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) has this website that has a database of all makes and models that have been issued.

I just checked and the A6 and Allroad are the only models Audi has with official recall notices on them. If there's another site maybe someone will post it.

I agree these cars are breaking Im down to just an engine and some wheels lol though they are known for their ability to steal money from ya thats for sure
