Default 1.8t quattro engine blown, should I switch it myself?

I am looking at a 98 a4 1.8t quattro with a blown engine for sale. I was wondering if I can switch the engines my self. My background is I have removed honda civic engines, miata engines and trannys and I did a jdm motor and tranny swap into a 2000 honda prelude and I just finished a sr20det into a 240sx. I changed a clutch in a 96 maxima. I have a engine hoist and access to a lot of extra tools. I am just looking for a little feedback on any major hurdles to jump or problems anyone else has had. I would just put a 1.8t back in it so there is no extra work. I have always shyed away from these fine german automobiles because it is rumored that they are hard to work on. Please tell me different.[sm=smiley1.gif] Nice to see this forum. I am a first time user. Thanks in advance for any replies. Jimmy

just as easy as any other motor change, but then you have to decide if an audi with a blown motor is really for you ? and what other maintence has been neglected
