Got an '01 Allroad, and have burned thru the horrible stock (Allroad, not Wrangler) tires in ~1 year.

I am looking to get a set of Dunlop M3's for this winter.
I would prefer to get a 2nd set of wheels (one set for summer tires + one set for winter tires).

I'm not looking to plus-size or pimp-out the Allroad with 18's or 19's....
Nor do I want to buy another set directly from Audi....
And I haven't had any luck trying to find a cheap set of "replica OEM" wheels....

Any suggestions???

TireRack has a wheel/tire package that I just put on my '04 4.2. It included 4 ATI S5s and Brigestone Blizzak ws-50s. 215/65R16 is narrower and higher profile than what Audi recommends, but the cost is a lot less. Seems to handle OK, but will have to keep the speed down. We haven't had any snow yet, but past experience with Blizzak WS-50s on a 540i proved that they can handle snow and ice with the best of them. The S5's look good and seem solid.
The AR 4.2 has very large calipers on the front, so there isn't a big selection of wheels that fit. You may have a bigger, and less costly, pool to choose from.
