Default Hood alignment // tolerances

Does anyone else's A3's engine hood seem to protrude a bit beyond the front bumper - and as well not feel secure in how it closes? Mine does. When you push doen on the closed+ latched hood, there's a bit of 'give' to it.

A simple answer is that my latch isn't holding the hood down tight enough - thus the extra space created - but I'm just not sure...

There is a little space I noticed the other day. But its not really a space, its just the way the hood is I guess. It protrudes out a little, but very slightely. I did think my hood was open and not pushed down, but it wasnt. Just the way it is I guess.

There are 2 or 3 torx screws on the top facia on the front bumper that you can loosen to bring the front facia forwards or backwards. This might fix your problem
