My Car Is Killing Me
Some of you people might know that i have been having annoying problems with my brakes
during cold weather my brakes would slump a little bit, about a centimeter or two
by this happening my brake lights would activate, this would happen while i am sleep
so over night the brake lights would come on and kill my battery
so i finally found time to take it in to my uncles shop
we bleed the brakes and clean out the brake fluid container
no good the problem still there
so we think the master cylinder is leaking or something
so my car is at my uncles shop rite now and im carless[&o]
i hope this is the problem cause i am very very verysick of this
if its not the master cyl we are changing the brake booster next
im sick of this, stupid brakes
i decided to keep my audi for now casue dispite the pain and heart ache it is giving me
im spending to much on her so im gonna keep her
and also becasue the the IS300 is an Automatic [:'(]

i dont think it electrical, the pedal physcially slumps a lil bit and engages the brake light sensor
when the car is warmed up the problem some what goes away
on a hot day i dont have that problem, only on cold days

r u sure it is not an electrical problem ? where is this break light sensor, is it on the pedal or somewhere ?

is there a way to adjust where the switch contacts the brake pedal? if you could move it a bit further down, it wouldn't be tripped if the brake pedal slumps, but it would still work fine for normal driving. of course, that would be a bandaid solution, you probably want to find out why the pedal is doing what it is. my guess is the master cylinder.
i dont know about that, the mechanic was under the pedal for a while so i dont know
i just want to get it fixed

It is definately your master cylinder, theres no doubt about it.
It is definately your master cylinder, theres no doubt about it.
I'm pretty sure it's the master cylinder too, but there's lots of places that the braking system can be losing pressure. any of the calipers, brake lines, proportioning valve, and brake booster could be to blame. the abs pump is another one which could be leaking and causing a drop in pressure.
we checked the calipers, brake lines but not the ABS system[&o]
dear god i hope not, please let it be the master cyl cause we took it out already and we are waiting for the new one to come in tomoror
but the master cyl we took out seem dry still so i dont know, but we replacing it anyways cause it was a pain to get out

have you had the same problem?
