View Full Version : Interior LED Lights
Hey guys, I just bought 20 blue LED interior lights for my Audi A4 03 Quattro... Im looking to just replace my curtiosy lights with the LED ones, I don't wanna be to tacky. Has anyone else done this? Anyone got some pics? And whats your take on this idea, I think it'd be unique just to have some LED's come on when a door opens or something!
Post your thoughts, thanks!
StevenTownsend 12-12-2006, 03:27 PM i know i remember seeing someone a long time ago who replaced all his interior lights, dash lights blah blah with blue.. long time ago though, and i don't remember who. i'm no help. :|

LabattZ 12-12-2006, 04:48 PM bishop, were you able to do all your int. lights? dash lights, shifter lights, etc ? Red is nice, but blue kicks ass
The Bishop 12-12-2006, 04:52 PM I just did the interior roof lights. the shifter lights are the chip style leds, and would require alot of soldering to replace them. If you want everything to match, I think red would look nice too.
Mabye Ill do those lights and the curtiosy ones when your door opens, how hard is it to do bishop.. I bought 20 for 23 bucks off ebay including shipping. They are a business, not sure what the name is, ill check. They sell for Quattro Audi A4's... I hope all goes well! If you got an tips throw em at me :)
The Bishop 12-12-2006, 05:05 PM I got mine in bulb style so they just plugged in. but if you are going to wire them up you will need a resistor for each one or bundle. for a single ledon 12v i think you will need a 470ohm 1 watt resistor, i think. for a bundle I'm not sure. it's easiest to just ask someone at electronics store.
The come with resistors and everything you need in order to put them in... Ima probably give some dude 50 bucks to put them in right, last thing i wanna do is mess stuff up
Bump-------------- Want me opinions!
new2me 12-13-2006, 01:48 PM Sounds kind of high to install a few lights. just my .02 If you dont want to do it id offer $25

Where do you live "new2me".. Because i'd be happy to pay anyone who is capable of installing the lights the cash if there willing... Let me know.. Dallas TX, or Phoenix AZ, by any chance?
new2me 12-13-2006, 05:50 PM LOL not even close IL.
I was just giving my .02 that if you were to pay someone offer them $25 since its really not that hard.
Oh, Alright... Thanks anyway! and really I just threw a number out there, haha:D
StevenTownsend 12-13-2006, 06:31 PM someone on here a while ago did EVERYTHING in blue everything on the center console etc
turbo kraut 12-13-2006, 06:35 PM amaze are you machanically inclined at all? (not trying to sound like a prick)

I've actually also wired up car's interiors with neons and LED's, not too difficult.
We went straight from the battery, plopped in an inline fuse using all 10G wiring into two barrier strips. Powers all of the lights you could ever want in your car.
Man, I miss that Camry.. it was so bumpin.. :([8D]
Uhhh.. Mechanically inclined, kinda.. I mean it says put the lights in with super glue and has instructions. But fuck that, id rather pay money for perfection than do it myself with the possibility of a shatty outcome... Some might not understand that, but I definitly do.
