Default possible new Audi A4 Owner, need lil help

Hello, my names ron im 21 years old, i currenty drive an 00 mitsubishi galant turboed, 5-speed swap, etc... so im not new to the turbo car feild. Well i been lookin at audi A4 1.8T for couple of months but people are askin 23-25K for an 2004 which still has about 50K milleage on them, when i found a younger guy 28 married, whos moveing from philly to NYC so he needs to sell his car by xmas b4 he moves, hes askin 22K with 31,500 on the dash which is an 04, sport tune suspension, cold weather package, premium package. hes still under warrenty till 50K or 08 from what he told me, now i got the price to 19,500 cash, after days of talkin, Is thier many issues with this car? i seen that the late modles hadd oil sludge issues, have they been fixed for the 04 years? i mean i can afford to put 1-2K every year to keep this car up, but will it require more $ then that? well guys has all the documents for service, and tells me brakes and all that is covered from audi, so i wont have to pay a penny till my warrenty expreies from maintince to anything, now does Audi give me these benefits still if im the 2nd owner? and he also stated that i can get audi to check this car out and extend its warrenty till 100K, but will they still let me if im the 2nd owner? Hope some 1 can point me in the right direction about this car, instead the typical noob remarks. im either buying this or an 07 subaru legacy..

I went through the same deal. I got an 02 A4 TQM Sport Audi certified w/44k miles. No, I didn't pay for anything until I crossed 50k. I have the warranty, which I paid something like $100 extra for xfer or something, and am supposedly covered up to 100k miles except for labor. In short, it sounds like you are getting a good deal. You still may want to have Audi look at the car but I doubt you'll have to put in any dough until you pass 50k. After that it's the regular maintenence. I've hit 58k and it hasn't cost me anything but tires.

I say do it. It sounds much cooler to say "I have an A4 B6" than it does to say "I have a subaru legacy".

That sounds like a good deal, go for it.

You wont have a lot of issues with that year/mileage. Just make sure you use mobile 1 0w40 synthetic, or similar, since the turbo's really like that.

Hope you get it, good luck!

good deal just take it to audi, they will do full inspection on vechicle for around 90 bucks. well worth it in the long run. I purchased an 04 1.8t ultrasport for 26k with 29k miles. Car is awesome, slow as **** until chipped but im in love.

ya i test drove the legacy today, its a great car for the money and its brand new, but the audi is in its own class, and i really love it, just dont wanna pay alot of $$$ in maintance as i hear about audis. how much does it cost to chip these cars? and what are the gains? i was thinkin just a simple AWE exhuast and an upgraded intercooler and id be set, prob get a diff front/rear end maybe and S4 side moldings but mainly keep this car clean nothing to fancy...
