There are a lot of chips out there, can any one suggest the best? I am looking to increase the hp to 360 or more, I know I will have to do more than chipping, so any other suggestions would be great, thanks.

David_K 01-16-2005, 02:48 AM do nitrous audiboy1618 01-16-2005, 06:22 AM Yeah nitrous is quick hp, but its not all the time hp. I would do other stuff like exhausr, intake, stuff like that. I would also invest in a set of lightweight wheels. BryraTodds 01-16-2005, 01:11 PM So no advice on a chip? I would like to do the other upgrades, but not ready to pay for them yet. I would be looking at around $4000 for all that and was looking for something a little cheaper untill summer. d21212 01-28-2005, 04:45 AM I recommend Speedtuning (www.speedtuningusa.com) which is an Austrian company with its U.S. distributor just outside of Baltimore. You're probably looking at $300-350. I've had its chip in my T-5R Volvo (sorry, Audiologists, but I am replacing it w/an Audi, I hope) for two years and am very happy with the power gain. The distributor has an '04 A4, I think. gapa8 07-04-2005, 08:32 PM I have a GIAC Computer Chip in mine. It gives about 30Hp. They are out of Atlanta. You can check them out online. http://www.eurosportacc.com/chip.htm Cameron 07-04-2005, 08:39 PM ORIGINAL: d21212 I recommend Speedtuning (www.speedtuningusa.com) which is an Austrian company with its U.S. distributor just outside of Baltimore. Dave666 07-04-2005, 09:45 PM I thought the older S40's didnt come manual. BryraTodds 07-06-2005, 11:29 PM I have been hearing mixed reviews on the chips, does it really free up any noticable power? Does anyone know the top speed on a non governed 99 or 01 A8? local://upfiles/4165/E8B174A9D6344756BBD6B939DDA71860.jpg diabolical1 07-08-2005, 05:03 AM I thought the older S40's didnt come manual. they didn't. diabolical1 07-08-2005, 05:07 AM ORIGINAL: BryraTodds I have been hearing mixed reviews on the chips, does it really free up any noticable power? some do, some don't unless you have other modifications - exhaust being one of the more common. i've heard good things about GIAC, but i don't know if they are your best option. |
